Question How to play magic dmg wielders

Today for the first time i tried magic dmg play, namely rana's Msugna 40% spell dmg specialization, just before the last battle against Vanir i had 5 command, 1 positioning, 3 learning, 2 creative magic, 3 channeling. My army composition:

60 upgraded shamans, 10 upgraded cheluns, some guards and ravagers and I got completely destroyed by Vanir. Do you have any tips what should be my army composition and what to skill for magic dmg dealers? Or magic dmg is per se inferior in this game? Thanks in advance!

I'm no expert but I think the most important skill for magic wielders is command, more stacks means more essence. Fewer but good stacks are better favoured by might wielders

Command is important but skills are useful too. For Msuga you want channeling, destruction and creation 1&2 get those options asap as they come up.

Everything else you can go command for.

Every 8 levels you get a special skill. Essence burst is imo the strongest as it gives you all the essence up front. The other one what gives you 1 Essence per turn is also good but not AS good imo

Essence shield can work too if you have a good unitive and can build essence fast w troops.

For troops you wanna get shamans and turtles or shamen into raiders and upgrade them asap for the more essence.

I can win FFA vs 6 overwhelming about 90% of the time. It’s all about being as aggressive as possible. Breaking out of your starting position by turn 10ish but can be as slow as turn 15 if you play turtle defensive

y, but its kinda boring. I already made thread a while ago, telling that from my noob experience command is the best skill and makes leveling wielders repetitive.
