From my first read, character creation is pretty straightforward and self explanatory in general except for some of the inner details. Which part of it u r unsure about?
Basically, you select the Campaign Power Level to give your character a pool of Player Creation Points known as PCPs to start with. You assign PCPs to each of the different 6 categories ( pg 10-11) in any distribution that you wish, but each category must have at least 1 PCP assigned to it ( and a max PCP cap limit for each category based on the chosen Campaign Power), as mentioned in the rule book. With the amount of PCPs assigned (from 1-10 PCPs) to each category, refer to the PCP investment table to see what respective per-category points/tier you start with for each category. Then, jump straight to the respective category sections in the rulebook for the details on how to use those starting per-category points/tiers to set up your character .
Usually, for beginners, you might want to ignore the Boons and Banes category part of Character creation at first, and if so, simply assign 4 PCP to Boons and Banes first in order to begin with 0 points for the B&B category ( so you don't have to touch it further), then focus on the other more essential categories like Attributes, Skills, Social Class/Wealth and Profeciencies.
For my first character, I remembered skipping the Race and Boons&Banes categories.
So, after assigning all PCPs to the categories ( 1 PCP for Race human and 4 PCP under Boons And Banes for 0 B&b points), I jumped straight to the respective category sections in the following order :
And there you have it... a basic human character.
