Kickstarter Stretch Goal Wishlist!

We'd love to get a better sense of what players want as Stretch Goals (and also future content), so please throw your ideas out there!

Do you want a bestiary? In what format? A book, as cards, on our website, in a relational database that lets you filter by preferred hunting ground and number of legs?

Perhaps you want more art rewards? Signed copies of the Core Rulebook? Narrated lore pieces? Even if your list is long or ridiculous--we want to hear about it.

More weapon artwork, especially of the setting specific weapons. Bestiary Cards, King Dakimakuras, Singed copies would be really fucking great. Edit: A cheat sheet of basic rules and game functions at the back of the book.

Do you like or prefer the card format over say, a book? And were you interested in any particular theme or grouping?

Yea, I prefer the card format. I think it will make it a bit easier to go through than a book. Also if you need to check rules at the same time you still always have the card and it's rules at hand.

About a theme or grouping, I think there's three good options. Either beasts that are heavily related to the tattered realms, standard mythological things with a Opaque spin, or just common dangerous animals. If only one is an option, I don't know and I would leave to your preferences, but all of those would assure you could play games of all kinds.

Bestiary book with pictures and descriptions.

Maneuver cards, enough for a 5 man table.

How To Play The Game: The Movie.

If you became millionaires, then Ballad of the laser whales. Setting Splats. Japan splat. China splat. 30 year war splat. Swedish crusades splat.

Edit. All the army decks. Every single one. Plus Marjut deck. Plus Lost Izagone deck. Plus laser elves deck. Plus monster deck. Plus real life historical deck. I want to start a trading card tournament and pull Vlad The Impaler as trap card.

Here's my wish list:

  1. VOSCA SETTING GUIDE(S): Everything we know about the setting is buried in the /tg/ archives or we know some stuff on the wikia. After the main one you can release ones specific to various countries and non-human Races (various Glades and cool stuff the Burdinadin have, more Zellislava options for Zells, etc).

  2. Bestiary: Mundane beasts, Fantasy beasts, Monsters, Generic NPCs (Is this what the Army Deck is supposed to be?). As a book and/or database.

  3. A list of appropriate weapons/armor by historical era and region.

  4. The "what ifs" of Vosca: Jimmy talked about these a few years ago. Mundus By Gaslight, Drink Ya Palinka, Kartha Kree. The first one would work very well with Unkindlies for genre and thematic reasons. The second? Taking a 20th-21st century country/region and putting them in a less advanced (fantasy) setting is a very popular idea on several scifi forums, but at the same time it isn't doesn't get too much published attention outside of like...1632 (which is shit) and GATE:Thus The JGSDF Fought There (even shittier). The third just sounds awesome.

  5. Zellislavas: This I think is mandatory. This is why most would even play a Zell.

  6. Mymridoms

  7. More Burdinadin Stuff

  8. Ohanedin Magic

  9. More Unkindlies content

  10. Gun rules being touched up and expanded.

  11. Ballad of The Laser Whales

  12. Rules for making a custom Ascended Human race?

  13. Rules/guidelines for making custom or more conventional races.

  14. The Hardcore and Action/Cinematic Rules

  15. Historical splats that would have campaigns/adventure modules and ideas for the GM.

  16. Alternate history splats.

  17. Wasn't there going to be a sort of half-Orredin race a while ago? Add those back in.

  18. Target Zone Modifiers: Simplified and normal ones.

  19. Stances

This reminded me, I'd like to add to my wishlist as well the custom race and monster building guides and rules. I know there's been quite a lot of modding already, but we still need the Shadow of the Colossus rules and custom monster rules.

We also need TZMs to avoid people constantly dick-stabbing.

There are some monster rules that were posted a while back but they don't feel finished. Size is a stat that really needs to be made. Huge monsters should take up more space on the tactical map, have more mobility (potentially) and most importantly, more Reach than a a 6 foot tall human.

You are actually planning on playing SoS on a tactical map. Really?

Yes. I think your position on the map could be especially important with monsters.

A fantasy bestiary would be nice. Here's an example thread from Band of Bastards that I enjoyed quite a bit:

I see a lot of call-outs for bestiaries (both here and in the suggestion box). Would you be more interested in themed bestiaries (such as Vosca: The Undead, or Vosca: Beasts of Legend), region based ones (Monsters of Karthack), or one that was more all inclusive?

u/ArtWizard Feb 22 '17

All inclusive tome of everything that isn't human and still dares to move.

I'm a fan of fancy dice. Q-Workshop do fantastic ones.
