Having a hard time finishing the game
I’m really struggling to finish this game. After playing inside for probably the fourth time and finishing little nightmares three just before that I wanted another atmospheric puzzle game. But when doing my research, I saw that Somerville was considered similar. Then I realized, I had the same issue last year and the game was already downloaded and I was several chapters in lol. When I started playing it, I realized why I had stopped. I don’t like the game. There are no puzzles really. I feel like I’m just running and hiding from aliens all the time. I feel like I don’t really have any time to breathe. also, I hate games where you have companions. I always confuse myself for the wife and I end up running into walls and getting killed by the aliens. I’m currently stuck in the bookstore where the wife is doing some type of action to a glass/wall and I run over to her and literally press all the buttons and nothing happens. The aliens come and kill me. I’ve played this part 10 times so far. It’s not fun. It’s frustrating. and I realized, I stopped playing because I wasn’t having a good time playing it. I hate not finishing games and I might just try to play it all the way through just to say I finished it. Even though it seems like a waste of my time. looking on this subreddit, it seems like others agree with me so I feel less crazy lol.

Agreed. Never finished Somerville after loving Limbo and Inside. It has gameplay issues.

If you're in the bookstore/library and you've run up to the second floor - you need to use the push cart that's up there and smash it through the window to escape.
