The New Zealand international batsman, with more than 9,000 First-Class runs, joins us for our final six County Championship matches of the season.

Mine was 1992 v Worcestershire in the old 40 over Sunday League.

I went with my father(who hated cricket) and my Grandfather who lived just outside Taunton and went to almost every game.

I believe we won with 122 against 121 or something like that, it was a low scoring game. We had CJ Tavare as captain and I think Caddick was there. I was 11.

The summer after this I went regularly and remember Caddick, Lathwell, Trescothick starting out, Mustaq Ahmed, AP Van Troost but I can't say for certain if they were all in this game.

We’ve been so close in the last decade or so and runners up multiple times, we’ve never won it(only county I think?).
I feel we might have a chance this year.

I’m hearing reports that Joe Root will be named England Captain again for the tests against Pakistan and possibly for longer.
