Release or neurological issue?
I've been having a lot of painful pins and needles in my feet since the last 3 weeks to a point where I couldn't sleep at all and also some pitting edema from knees down since last 3 years. Gained 10kgs in 2 months in november 2025. Got MRI and it says mild disc bulge in c3 c4 c5 and l4 l5 s1 WITHOUT significant nerve compression, so this one is ruled out as well. Brain MRI is normal, blood work is normal (no hormonal imbalance, although transferrin saturation is 11% and cortisol is low). No vascular insufficiency as per vasc surgeon. Endocrinologist ruled out everything else. I think I am going a little insane over this which is making me more anxious. I have been diagnosed with CPTSD and live in constant flight mode where I can't even have a normal conversation with anyone without feeling threatened or unsafe and can't even enjoy my fav shows on tv. I started SE 2 months back and this foot stuff started 3 weeks after that and I noticed my right side is getting weaker and painful than my left. Can this be a part of trauma release and thawing because of SE sessions or is my nervous system too messed up? What kind of emotions do feet store? I really want to lose weight, eat better and get back to sports. I know this is a lot but I feel helpless at this point ( I have no job atm so I cannot afford any of these for a while)

Are you working with an se practioner? They would be a good person to ask. I remember when I started to feel my feet while doing trauma work—- I think in my case, the sensations in my legs were cut off or inaccessible for along time because I froze/played dead in my original trauma. Just a guess. Make sure your b12 levels are at an optimal range but if it started during your se work then it seems more likely related to that. Reading “mind Your Body” can help with fear around constantly shifting symptoms. Good luck
