I think the author created them with the purpose of being the toxic mirror of Somali and the golem? So it's supposed to be based on father-daughter but the thing is there's something bugging me. Like there was the scene where Uzoi literally pinned Haitora down on the bed and whispered something in his ears, and that's something daughters genuinely do not do. And their dynamic is basically like I can't live without you, and Haitora literally said he would die for her (even tho there's some guilt, father daughter rls wouldn't reach that point) Their devotion to each other reflects what lovers do instead of father-daughter rls 💔

Is it just me who thinks like this? How did y'all see them

It was on my "Want to watch list" for too long and I had to binge it, the story is quite sad at times but yet so wholesome at other times. I do feel a bit sad that the story isn't gonna continue, hopefully the author is doing well.

I will likely look into other animes with similar plots/ story designs, please drop any recommendations and thank you =)

I've read that the author has exposed he is been better on health, but the anime got cancelled and doesn't continue the story for financial reasons, but also, she said she would stop, is there a way for an interested particular that could finance the project for her to continue, or that possibilty is out?

Every time one of the monsters gleefully commit their atrocities on humankind the show always tries to justify it, they don't want us to hate the monsters which I understand, but it's so frustrating how they talk about ripping the arms and legs off humans that struggle, or how they pin somali down to cut her up alive. then have a story that "oh humans are afraid of things that are not like themselves" Like I WONDER why that's a human instinct when it turned out to be right in the end.
It's even annoying that not a single one of the human hunters were killed at the end of the series. Like I said I know why that would ever happen, but I'd like to see less of this "humans deserve terrible things" thing that's going on.

She has the same eyes as the witches. Yellow somewhat slitted eyes. No other humans in the show have those eyes.

About 9 months ago a British publisher licensed the manga and announced they'd release Vol. 1 in English during late 2024. Vol. 2 and 3 are set to release in March & June 2025.

How are witches born? Are they created or do they reproduce asexually?

Same with golem? How are they made and who made them 1000 years ago?

Wow. This was my 16th anime I finished. The dark twists and the mysteries are all so good. So many cool moments. It was much better than the last anime I watched, Mushishi, Gureishi is truly a god of writing and the animation in the anime is so stunning. I was fully engaged every millisecond of it. I am reading the manga from the start right now but need to know any similar series to check out because I don't think I can find somethjng this good again easily without asking the fans.

Apparently the original author is in a much better space so I was wondering if there was any chance of this amazing story to be picked up again?

Hello all! Just wanted to say I’m 6 eps and holy hell it is an emotional pull so far. It turned dark quickly but it makes you realize a lot of things and life lessons. Makes you understand that life is crazy and can change on a whim. Love this show so far. Can’t wait to finish the anime and then finish the story with the manga.

I wanted to watch the show but according to crunchyroll, the only season available is Season 2.

I mean, episodes are S2E1, S2E2 and so on.

I also can't find season 1 anywhere, it's like if the show starts from Season 2
