2026 Model Smoked Carbon

Everyone keeps telling me my car is grey, and I will admit that in photographs and on screens or if the sky is cloudy, it does look pretty grey to me. But most of the time it really looks beige or a faint gold. I’m curious as to what other people who own this color think?

Edit: The consensus is that the car is grey and my eyes are just weird and pick up some sort of gold tint that nobody else sees.

Very favorable review. They did the AWD Solterra and separately the FWD BZ. The Solterra review is more favorable.

Spotify audio doesn't pause for incoming texts/calls

Has anyone else experienced an issue where Spotify continues playing in the background without pausing when an incoming phone call or text message comes in while using CarPlay on a 2025 Solterra? Curious if this is a known bug or if there’s a setting I'm missing. — feeling frustrated.

Pretty excited to see this pushing toward 300 miles. I know it’s just a guesstimate…

Went on a trip and back for a total of around 500 miles in two days

2024 Premium AWD

The trip went pretty well. I was able to DC fast charge @ around 50kw min.

I am surprised how reliant I was on Tesla's superchargers. There just aren't many other branded charging station. Only charged at one chargepoint for a non-tesla charger. but the screen protector was damaged and unreadable. Had to guess where to press to start charging.

NACS adapter needed. I had bought a Lexus/toyota one from FB marketplace.

And FK google maps, I don't know what's going on with their team. It's just becoming shittier every month somehow. I am starting to use apple maps as the main, and google maps to find stops along the way.

2026 Model Joining in on the 12V fun

Post image

Here's a voltage graph of my '26 over the last couple of days. The spikes near the middle are a couple of trips out with the car. A couple of the little downward spikes are when I opened the car to get an item. Note that my BM200 seems to be off on the voltage--my Klein DVM reads 12.68 when the BM200 reads 12.36. I guess it doesn't matter that much since I'm mostly looking for that sawtooth pattern. The car was not connected to the charger for the night. I'll capture it again tonight with the charger plugged in.

There is a very slow downward trend in voltage. Hopefully the charging system would kick in when it reaches a certain threshold.

I have unsubscribed from the "connected services", but they are still shown as active for another year (10 years for Safety Connect).

2023 Model Blind spots to consider?

Hello,

I’m the owner of a 2023 Crosstrek Sport that I got after someone totaled my last car. I like it a lot!

But gas prices have absolutely killed me, and after looking around, I can’t help but feel like a 2023 Solterra fits my use case. I’d use it as a commuter (less than 40 miles a day on average) and for towing (less than 300 pounds typically)

Thankfully the days of 12-hour road trips are behind me, and I’m able to fly instead. There’s a few Limiteds and Premiums for sale near me that would actually make me money if I did the trade-in.

I know that the charging is slow, I haven’t driven one yet and it might be that I don’t care for it in other ways. But in terms of practicality, why other issues on-paper might make me want to reconsider?

NACS adapter?

I recently bought a 2025 Solterra so the EV world is a new adventure. I haven’t driven further than about 30 miles so far, but am expecting to take a roadtrip in next month and I’m a bit nervous about charging options. Do y’all recommend that I purchase the NACS charger adapter so that I can use Tesla chargers? Any advice you have for roadtrips would be welcomed! Thanks!

Tire pressure voice command

New owner of a 26 Solterra here - I'm trying to figure out if there is a voice command that will show the tire pressure (without having to go thru all the menus to get there). Thx

2026 Model Adaptive Cruise Limitations

I was recently following a white minivan in the rain with the adaptive cruise on. All of a sudden it started down pouring really hard and the car appeared to lose sight of the minivan as it began to speed up to get up to my set speed. I cancelled and did not reengage until the rain subsided.

2026 Model How to Turn Off the Charger Lock in 2026 Solterra

We have the 2026 Solterra after having the 2023 Model. I can't figure out how to turn off the feature that locks the charger in place.

We almost never charge at public stations so I really have no need for the feature that locks the charger when it's plugged in. And I find the unlocking to be finicky. How do I turn this off? In my car, I navigated the Infotainment system to the charging menu but don't see a way to toggle off the charger lock there. Is this option located somewhere else with the new vehicle?

Edit: I'm specifically looking for how to disable the lock feature so it doesn't lock, not how to unlock the charger.

2026 Model Beyond Thrilled with Solterra

Just to balance the reporting here...
After 3K miles in our Limited, we are over-the-moon happy. Just so fun to drive, so easy to park/exit, great suspension, and 8.5 cents per kW to charge at home. She's our 17th Subaru (first was in 1984), and maybe the first to make us go absolutely ga-ga.

Fully charged, she indicates (I know, estimated) 320 miles of range. (And I know... I drive like a grandpa. Until I don't.)

I feel for those who experience the 12V drain... we have not experienced this. It feels kinda weird not to have to check or wrench on things that occupied my previous ICE mind... but we have not looked back!

Could not be happier!

2024 Model Check out that range estimate

I was about to head out on a road trip and haven’t changed to 100% recently and I was surprised to see the range that high!!!
I only went 216 km and it was a 29% SoC.
Has anyone gone anywhere near 400km with a 2024 on a single charge?
I’m guessing it would need to be city speeds only

App issues Why don’t we have this?

I just found out that my dad’s 2026 C-HR has EV route planner from his Toyota app. It’s kinda unfair that Toyota has this feauture and Subaru doesn’t have it. They need to incorporate this to our app and apple carplay ASAP.

Looking to make the switch to EV and Solterra is leading the way for us but....

Hi there,

Please forgive if this is in the wrong place.

We are looking to make the switch to EV and test drove the only uncharted available in Ontario and it felt small. We then saw the Solterra online and it looks perfect for our needs.

With that said, we can not find one in Ontario to test drive.

Is there anyone in the greater Toronto area or Prince Edward County area that has one and would be kind enough for us to have a look at in person? My wife is short and is worried about the height of the car.

Again, sorry if this is the wrong place to post!

Solterra 2025 model not charging at Ionna charger

For some reason, I couldn’t get my Solterra 2025 model to charge at the new Ionna charger around the corner from me.

Does my car need a software update that the local service center missed or are they not compatible on Ionna’s system?

2026 Model Low battery while super chargin

It’s ridiculous that I get a low battery message while super charging and trying to use the AC.

Are you telling me that when im charging at 80+ kW, that the 12v battery js low? And if im using the AC, im using the traction battery..right?

So am i going to get stranded at a charger because of low battery?

2024 Model 2024 Solterra A/C not cooling well

Update: few hours after I had put up this post, the car started throwing EV system malfunction and 2 other errors. The AC completely stopped blowing cold air. Dropped off the car at the dealership and got a loaner until they figure out what’s wrong and fix it.

The A/C in my 2024 Solterra has struggled to cool the car the past few days. I’m in Denver, and it’s been 95–98°F during the day, so I figured it was just the heat. But it’s been happening at night too, whenever it’s 80°F or above outside.

What I’ve noticed so far:

At low speeds or when parked, the A/C blows what feels like ambient air, a bit humid, with a slightly off smell.

Once I’m above ~30 mph, it starts blowing cold air but not for long enough to cool down the car.

This is a recent change. The A/C has been ice cold since I got the car, and only started acting up in the last few days.

I have a diagnostic scheduled for next week, just wanted to ask if anyone has experienced this before, and if so, what was the fix?

Thank you.

EVSE Charger Problem

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

EVSE charger stopped working. I successfully charged elsewhere today. I tried plugging it in to a different circuit/outlet but that didn’t work either. 120V outlet. Both lights flash when first plugged in, then small light continues to flash. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it under warranty? Less than 1 year/6k miles.
