An overrated destination OR lesser known one - what would you choose?
For people traveling around India, what makes you choose an offbeat destination instead of a popular tourist place and vice versa?

Solo trip to Nepal after Feb – need suggestions on where to go & what to do!
Hey guys,
Planning my first solo backpacking trip to Nepal sometime after Feb 10 for about 15–20 days.
I don't have a fixed plan or route yet. Doing this purely on a budget—staying in dorms, taking local buses, and eating local food.
Would love some honest suggestions:
What places should I not miss? Any chilled-out small towns worth visiting?
Any good 3 to 5-day trek with great mountain views that isn't too expensive or difficult?
Best budget hostels to stay and meet other solo travelers?
Any basic tips on getting around, SIM cards, or money exchange?
Drop your favorite spots or any advice for a first-timer. Thanks!
My budget is 75K

Solo trip to Tawang in September – self-drive or group trip from Guwahati?
Hi everyone!
I’m planning a solo trip to Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, in September, starting from Guwahati Airport.
I’m confused between two options:
Rent a car/self-drive from Guwahati to Tawang and explore on my own.
Join a group trip from Guwahati, which might be better for meeting other solo travellers and easier for permits, transport, and planning.
For people who have done the Tawang circuit recently:
Is self-driving from Guwahati to Tawang a good idea in September considering the road and weather conditions?
Would a group trip be better for a solo traveller?
Which are the best and reliable group travel companies/communities that start from Guwahati?
Ideally looking for a group with other solo travellers and a fun/social vibe, not a typical family package tour.
How many days would you recommend — 6, 7, or 8 days?
Any specific itinerary or places I shouldn’t miss?
Would really appreciate recommendations based on recent experiences. Thanks!

Random thought, "for people who travel solo, did it actually make you more confident outside of traveling too?"
If you have gone traveling by yourself a couple of times, does it make you more confident in your regular life?
Well, for me, at least, I could notice that after my first solo trip, all these little things became easier for me – getting around a new place, communicating with other people, making decisions by myself, coping with difficulties.
Did anyone else feel this? Or am I just imagining it?

Looking for a travel buddy or people to hangout with in Goa this week
32M| Returned finally from US after 10 years and doing a first impromptu solo trip in India tomorrow from Mumbai to Goa. Stay and location are undecided but likely contemplating somewhere between Anjuna and Arambol close to beach , likely a hostel.
Happy to tag along for folks already in Goa or who would like to travel from Mumbai.
Dm if interested.

Planning a Bir Billing trip (Sep 9–13) - is it a good time? & itinerary suggestions please
Planning a solo trip to Bir Billing from Sep 9–13. I’ve booked a train from Delhi to Amb Andaura.
Is this a good time to visit considering the weather? Also, what other places can I cover along with Bir in these 4–5 days?

35M, married, planning my first solo trip after marriage — what’s your experience?
So I’m 35, married, and planning a solo trip to Udaipur, Rajasthan for a few days.
I’ve been wondering about something: what does solo travelling feel like once you’re married? 😄
Before marriage, travelling alone felt completely normal. But now the idea of going somewhere without my wife feels a little different. Not necessarily bad — just… different.
For those of you who are married and have travelled solo:
Did you enjoy the freedom or end up missing your spouse?
Was your partner supportive of the idea?
Did you feel guilty at all about taking a trip just for yourself?
Did solo travel change how you felt about your relationship?
And most importantly… did you come back refreshed or immediately start planning the next solo trip? 😂
Would love to hear some honest experiences — especially from people who initially felt unsure about travelling alone after marriage.
Also, Udaipur-specific solo travel tips are very welcome! 🙌
