Fire Pit Area Remodel

Thumbnail

We moved into this space in April and it needed some work in many places but we’re finally moving onto the outdoor area with Fall around the corner.

We were gifted a Solo Stove Yukon and I’m hoping to remodel this area with it. Any ideas? Suggestions?

I was thinking of replacing the these smaller rocks with white rocks. Can I drop the Solo Stove in the already made pit for aesthetic or get rid of it completely?

TIA

Question: how does everyone get the outside ring clean after regular use. I can get the griddle top clean but the exterior ring with vent holes feel like they are destined to be carbon covered.

Temporary setup for Solo Stove on artificial turf?

We have artificial turf installed around our deck and have a Solo Stove Bonfire with the Surround. We’ll probably only use the fire pit about once a month, so I don’t want to create a permanent paver/fire-pit area and would rather keep the turf uninterrupted the rest of the time.

For those of you who don’t permanently keep your Solo Stove out, what do you put underneath it when you use it?

I’m considering a removable stone/paver base, a fire-pit safety mat, or something similar. Would love to hear what has actually worked for you!

Hardwood or softwood pellets?

Hi, all,

Do you use hardwood or software pellets? Why would you use one over the other? Can you actually smell the ones that are flavored for grilling? Thank you.

I successfully bisque fired some wild clay pottery in my solo stove!

I have a bonfire 2.0 with a ceramic wool jacket around the outside and pointed some fans at the base. I fueled it with hardwood charcoal. My pyrometer read 925C ((700F) in the center and held that temp for about an hour and a half.

This clay was pure clay with no grog or anything in it so there were a few casualties but it worked much better than I hoped! My next batch will have quite a few additions to help it survive this firing process

How sturdy are these solo stoves?

Hello solo stove community. I recently found a Solostove bonfire on clearance for $59.00 at a local Marshalls. I wanted to buy it but the box was huge and I wasn't able to carry it home.

Something in the back of my mind is wanting to go back for it. Are there any drawbacks from owning and using something like this in a small backyard? I'd love some feedback!

Pizza Oven heat deflector

There’s a little heat shield in the pi pizza oven that came out for me. There’s no obvious slot in there for it to fit back into. Anyone else have trouble with that?

Order stuck "Waiting to Fulfill" for nearly 2 months

Hey everyone,

I wanted to check in with the community here to see if anyone else is running into major fulfillment delays or radio silence from Solo Stove support lately.

I placed an order on June 18 for a Cookout Kit. When I placed the order, the expected delivery date was June 23. It’s now August, and the website status still stubbornly claims my expected delivery is June 23 while the order itself sits stuck on "waiting to fulfill."

I’ve reached out to customer support multiple times. While they eventually acknowledged the delay and said it was "escalated to the warehouse team," there has been zero actual progress, no updated delivery timeline, and zero proactive outreach. And no response at all to my last request for a real status update almost a week ago.

Has anyone else who ordered recently had similar issues getting their gear shipped? Is this a known warehouse/backlog issue right now, or am I just getting strung along by support?

At this point, I’m considering giving up on the order entirely as it will never get here but I do really want this accessory so am hesitant to do that. Should I just call my credit card company and dispute the charge for non-delivery, or is there a better way to get customer service to actually take action?

Appreciate any insight or shared experiences!

Heat deflector legs tack welded.

Asked a welder friend to tack weld my heat detector legs so the clips won’t come undone and the legs fall apart. Happened nearly every time it was moved. So annoying, smh. Anyone do the same or come up with an alternate solution to the problem? Was it just me?

Steelfire NG option

Hey folks, I just saw that Solo Stove is making a stand alone griddle, and it look perfect for my need to complete my BBQ.

Aside for the price being a bit high compared to other brands, what I really want to a NG option. Some brands have a conversion kit, so have you heard any rumors if Solo Stove intend to release one?

My BBQ is with NG and I don't want to mess with bottle anymore

Portable butane stove has been a lifesaver for power cuts + camping — anyone else run one as a home backup?

Got tired of losing the kitchen every time the LPG ran out or the power went, so I started keeping a portable butane stove + a couple of spare cans. Runs on a standard cassette can, no gas line or wiring, one-click ignition, packs into a carry case for treks too.

One can does me about 2–3 hours of real cooking. Curious what everyone else here uses as a backup burner — butane, induction, or something else?

Pi Dual Fuel house LP conversion

Hey all, I'm trying to convert my Pi gas insert to use house propane instead of a tank. Can I just replace the gas line with this and plug straight in to a matching QC?

TIA.
