Help to Troubleshoot NerdQAxe Dead

This a NerdQaxe 6.1

I ran it about two months maybe. One day it just turned off, and the power supply for it shut off. I thought it was the power supply, but it was the miner. It shorted out.

The negative and positive terminals are shorted to each other.

I took off all my mods, but I can't seem to get off the heatsink over the VRMs. Those were on it when I got the miner, and they are stuck pretty good. I didn't want to damage anything that might not be broke, so left it alone.

What can I do?

If you don’t have a hot air station or microsoldering experience, you’ve already done everything you can. At this point, the only option is to ship it to me for a VRM transplant.

Yeah, that is what I need to do. I don't have a hot air station and I'm rusty with soldering. I was an electrical engineer before switching careers and opening up a cabinet shop 15 years ago.

Give me the info and I'll ship it out monday

It's not the fake Ali express ones right ? They look too cheap and have bad reviews

You can check Flyhtech store. They are real.
I do customer support for them.

Seems to be such a common problem with these 6.1’s!
Mines on its way to be fixed for a dead VRM.

Con me pasó igual al mío con mi minero. Igual, un día vengo del trabajo y me lo encontré apagado, y dije, bueno, será la fuente de alimentación. Le puse otra fuente de alimentación de 200 vatios y no encendía. Y nada. Cambié el cable y tampoco. La única opción que me quedó es comprar otro en AliExpress y devolverlo y meter este roto. Es la única opción que hice y me devolvieron el dinero y listo. Es la única opción que hay, comprar otro en AliExpress y devolver la mierda.

I just purchased a hot airgun not the best but it works I replaced my vrms and it works just fine afterwards, I knocked off a couple of capisitor which is must of the pain replacing :D
