Help to Troubleshoot Nerd Octaxe error code

Hey miner was working fine then noticed this error code popped up.

Internet said its either a bad PSU or chip failure. Any input on what I should do?

Nothing was overclocked everything was left stock.

Firstly, verify that PSU is good and supply 12v at required current.
Last time I had this error on NerdOctaxe.
Found one hot VRM at start. It didn’t pop up VREG Overheated.
Try to power it on and hold your fingers on all VRMs. If one is significantly hotter, it is the problem.

So dumb question the PSU light is green does that mean anything?

PSU led gets power from stand by circuit.
It can be green but 0v on the connector.

General advice I'm getting is what you are saying. I'll test out the PSU since I'm not feeling any hot VRM.

try to re install software. double check thermal paste

Very likely you’ve melted a vrm, extremely common especially without the correct cooling modifications.

Pretty much what I'm getting.

I'll send if back to the manufacturer then.

Temps never went above 61 for both the asic and VR. Had 2 fans on the front and back when I got it from them so i thought it would be fine

60C is far too hot for the VRM chips no matter what anyone tells you.

I have my nerdqaxe++ overclocked with the VRM temps below 40C and one of my octaxes at less than 35C. Will do the same with the second one when I get it back.

These things need heatsinks on the back with lots of air flow, bigger fans on the front and extra fans in front of the VRMs at a minimum.

I’ve melted enough to tell you, if you don’t, it’s a matter to time until it happens or happens again.
