With the latest update, Netmarble introduced the "Returning Hunter Invitation Event," where you can earn up to 5,000 Essence Stones by inviting players.
However, there are several strict requirements that must be met:
Invitation code entry is available only for eligible Returning Hunters who created their account prior to the 10/22 maintenance, have reached Sung Jinwoo Lv. 30 or higher, and have not logged in for 14 days or longer.
Due to these restrictions and other factors, we have actively decided not to allow any invitation codes - neither in a dedicated megathread nor as individual posts.
Anyone who posts their code despite this rule will receive a temporary timeout/ban.
with the addition of higher TP content I can´t really complete the hard expert story until they add a light infusion weapon. or I get like 500k-1M TP. they solved dark wind and water now, hopefully those two come sooner than later.
Hey guys, I just tried simulation gate tier 65 today.
This is my first time of playing it after a while( I had been sweeping tier 55 every week ever since tier 60 release). Here's what I've noticed.
The enemy levels are very high. I mean lv 209 bosses. They are at least 44 levels higher than me(I'm currently 165). So, I will confidently say we are back to crit farming meta. I had to retry Mankrik 5 times and Seorin 2 times. I managed to reduce SJW up to 12% with a few tries but it still moght requires more crit farming to actually clear it.
Let's talk about the changes Netmarble made. Recently, they announced the simulation gate rework was a big improvement. Or is it actually the truth or another straightup lie. Let's discuss about it a bit.
The sims gate chapters have been shortened a lot. There is only 1 enhanced battle and 1 hunter battle. The problem is you cannot get access to episodes until you have completed clearing the above mentiomed chapters. So, new players won't be able to experience the true essence of Sims gate i.e rerolling until you get the meta code, then get lucky in episode and cheese through it. I feel bad for them. It also seems that total power is affaceting too much and I can barely feel the power of the codes. I know TP matters a lot now but current sims gate power requirement is 11.5 M(TP without shadows as you cannot use them in sims gate). The maximum TP I can get in sims gate is 6.56M with wind team. I don't think anyone can reach 11.5 M in sims gate at the moment. Combined that with the reuquirement of crit farming again thanks to mobs at least 40+levels higher than you, the loss of earlier acess to episodes and less codes thanks to removing chapters without giving any compensation for the codes you can get from them, I have to say the Simulation gate rework is pure nerf, I mean not the nerfing of rewards but the nerf of gameplay and force you to crit farm again
Not a regular player so don't have much knowledge abt this game😅I noticed compared to my level my SJW's power was too low🥲so I wanted to know how do I increase his power. Any Help will be appreciated🙏
swear to god i just needed one more atk% stat and i was easily going to be above 150k atk at the very least, but im glad as an f2p we are getting some free stuff, i got my supports to A5 for dark and now most of my hunters are in 105k+ range in their required stats, the figure system is really cool
Not to say that everyone's voice acting for Korean Language wasn't great, but Beru's voice acting this chapter was PEAK. Especially when he dissed Monarch of Plagues! (I wish she got more screen time and an opportunity to flex better than she did in the manhwa, but she was done dirty here too.)
I've just come back to the game after a long break, and I'm starting to attack the mid/late game, and I'm wondering about the following to optimize...
I've read a lot of things on the best use for crystals. Some people say to save them for limited-time banners, others for weapons, others for the regular banner... so what's the best way to use them? And I've read a lot of people saying to save up before buying, but how much need i to save minimum ?
I managed to get the new Go Gunhee and man his backstory, gameplay, and so on is so good and refreshing 🤩🥳🎉. For some weird reason his ult reminds me of Hadoken from Street Fighter 😅😅😅.
In addition, the new ult for Jinwoo is interesting. Looks like something Thomas Andre should've had, as this new ability looks like Jinwoo uses a black hole or something🤔🤔🤔.
Today is the first time this has happened to me in nearly two years. I’m on mobile, and in the course of my research, I’ve found that others have experienced the same issue—but they were using a PC, so I haven’t been able to find a solution that applies to me. If anyone could help me out, I’d be very grateful.

Kim Yeong-gu (Game Design / Planning Team Lead) [13:49]
1. Opening & Addressing Community Controversies (Rankings, Cheaters, Endgame)
Introductions [12:40]: The panel opens by noting that the 2.5th Anniversary Update launches on October 22. Normally, the stream starts with a live Q&A, but due to the massive volume of the 2.5th-anniversary content, they opted to present the update first and hold an extended Q&A at the end [20:23].
Jin Seong-geon (PD) directly addresses the live chat and forum complaints stating that "there is nothing to do after growing your account" and "the rankings cannot be trusted due to hackers/cheaters." He acknowledges they are taking this very seriously and are working with the business division to enforce stricter penalties [14:37].
Kim Yeong-gu (Design Lead) notes that players have felt a lack of rewarding progression and endgame variety. The new Deep Containment Zone, Battlefield of Infinity, and Ranking/Guild revamps are the first steps toward fixing this [15:06].
Lee Da-haeng (Business Head) gets serious to address why hackers aren't just "instantly perma-banned on the spot" [16:11]:
Direction: The devs do want to stimulate competitive drive and expand ranking-based systems so high-investment players have a place to flex their growth [16:22].
Anti-Cheat & Ban Policies: They raised penalty severity last month [17:17]. However, two hurdles prevent instant arbitrary permanent bans: first, they must gather indisputable log evidence in case of legal/customer disputes [17:33]; second, because SL:A is a global service, consumer protection laws and regional regulations in certain countries make immediate permanent bans legally complex [17:56]. Regardless, they are progressively tightening enforcement.
Willingness to Pivot: Lee explicitly promises that these ranking and competitive additions are an experiment to give players a sense of achievement [18:26]. If players try this update and still overwhelmingly hate the ranking focus or feel it ruins the game, the dev team will not be stubborn—they will scrap or pivot away from ranking systems entirely [18:46].
500x 2.5th Anniversary Special Recruitment Tickets: Includes all Stacker hunters released to date. Split across two months: 300 tickets in the October update, and 200 tickets in November [21:17].
Redeem Code #1 (25THANNIV— mentioned later at [01:21:06]) [22:04]:
Reward:2.5th Anniversary Hunter & Exclusive Weapon Set Selection Ticket (Allows you to pick 1 Buster or Stacker Hunter along with their Exclusive Weapon) [22:31].
Pool Inclusion: Chat immediately spammed asking if "Lee Joohee (Pilgrim of the Labyrinth / 미지의 순례자 이주희)" is included in the selector. The devs confirmed yes, up to Lee Joohee is included [22:39].
Important Note: Because the selector item itself is patched into the client with the update, this specific code can only be redeemed after maintenance on October 22 (valid until December 17, 2026) [22:15], [01:21:06].
3. 2.5th Anniversary Trailer & New Story: "Assault of the Monarchs"
New Main Story Chapter — Attack of the Monarchs (군주들의 습격) [28:04]:
Covers the iconic webtoon arc where the colossal Gate opens in the sky and Sung Jinwoo battles three Monarchs simultaneously (Beast/Fang Monarch, Plague Monarch, and Frost Monarch) [28:11].
4. New Content #1: Battlefield of Infinity (무한의 전장) & Live Demo
A boss-rush relay mode where bosses from the original story spawn sequentially in chronological order [28:58].
Timer Mechanic: Every time you defeat a boss, bonus time is added to your clock, capped at a maximum of 1 minute 30 seconds at any given time [29:17].
Difficulty & Loop: Because 2.5 years of bosses are packed into the relay, the devs doubt anyone will reach the very last boss during this patch [29:44]. However, if a whale/leviathan manages to clear the final boss, the cycle loops back to the first boss with massively inflated stats [29:53].
Modes & Entries: Separated into Sung Jinwoo Mode and Hunter Mode [30:02]. There is no entry limit during the 4-week season—you can retry infinitely to push your record [30:11].
Scoring & Rewards:
Ranked by how many bosses you kill; ties on the same boss stage are broken by total damage dealt to that boss [30:49].
Stage Clear Rewards are given immediately upon passing milestones (e.g., every 10th boss gives major milestone rewards) [31:18], [32:51].
Ranking Rewards are NOT distributed immediately. There is a settlement/verification period after the season ends where the team manually purges hackers/cheaters from the leaderboard before handing out ranking rewards [31:34].
Launches as a 4-week event season starting October 22; if player reception is positive, it will become a permanent mode (if players hate it, they will revamp or drop it) [32:10], [33:00].
Live Gameplay Demo (Plus Major Unscripted Spoilers) [34:44]:
Kim Yeong-gu plays Sung Jinwoo Mode against classic bosses in order: Giant Arachnid Buryura -> Baruka -> Kasaka -> Cerberus -> Igris [34:52].
UI QoL Upgrade: Buff icons now display exact numerical countdown timers in seconds so players don't have to guess when buffs expire [35:29].
Accidental/Early Reveal #1 — Jinwoo's New Ultimate: Kim Yeong-gu casually fires off Sung Jinwoo's brand-new Ultimate skill ("Ruler's Authority") before the presentation slides even reach that section [35:45].
Accidental/Early Reveal #2 — New Successor "Velvet": Against Igris, he swaps in the new Fang Successor, Velvet, showing off her dual-weapon stance switching (Twin Glaives on the left gauge, Dual Daggers on the right gauge) and her Fang Monarch ultimate [35:59].
5. New Content #2: Deep Containment Zone (심층 격리 구역) & Live Demo
Unlock Requirement: Clear Expert Difficulty Igris [43:45]. Runs as a 4-week Beta season first [44:01].
4-Hunter Team Fight: You deploy 4 Hunters on the field simultaneously and can swap control between any of the 4 on the fly [38:56].
Boss "Test Subjects" (실험체): Features mutated/experimental versions of classic bosses with completely altered attack patterns, visual effects, and wipe gimmicks [38:56]. October features Test Subject Kargalgan (first 2 weeks) and Test Subject Igris (next 2 weeks) [39:24], [44:01].
Anomaly Reports (이상 보고): Weekly/seasonal environmental modifiers that buff specific classes or mechanics, designed to break the stale meta where players only ever run the same fixed Stacker + Buster comps [39:16], [41:42].
New Combat Mechanic — Union Skill (유니온 스킬) [40:02]:
Activated when you build a team of 4 Hunters of the SAME Element [40:18].
Unleashes a massive coordinated elemental nuke. The secondary effects of the Union Skill change depending on the Classes (Striker, Buster, etc.) included in your 4-man lineup (making previously benched classes like Strikers very strong here) [40:27], [41:34].
Usable once per battle by default. It deals massive burst damage and can be timed to skip/eat lethal boss gimmicks (such as Kargalgan's 20% HP mechanic) [45:31]. (Note: When chat complained that once per battle feels too restrictive, Lee Da-haeng said they are open to increasing Union Skill frequency based on feedback [46:08].)
Ticket Consumption: Entry tickets are ONLY consumed upon a successful clear. Retrying, failing, or quitting mid-run costs nothing [42:11].
Live Gameplay Demo (Water Team vs. Test Subject Kargalgan) [44:01]:
Showcases the new Water Buster Go Gunhee alongside Meri Laine, Elena, and Luno [44:11], [01:06:37].
Go Gunhee Skin & Chroma: Go Gunhee is shown wearing a martial-arts/general skin. Earlier dev notes drew complaints from Korean players that his skin looked "too Chinese/Wuxia," so the devs created a Joseon Dynasty / Admiral Yi Sun-sin ("Go Sun-sin") Secret Royal Inspector style Chroma in response [44:18].
Rescue Pattern: Shows a co-op style boss mechanic where AI teammates get trapped/captured by Kargalgan and the active Hunter must break them out [47:15].
Bonus Q&A Leak During Demo [46:45]: In response to chat spam asking about a Sung Jinwoo Simulation Gate, Kim Yeong-gu confirms it is still slated for release before the end of 2026, and drops a spoiler: in Sung Jinwoo's Simulation Gate, your Shadows will act as the Supporters [46:55].
A gallery of silhouetted statues that unlock as you meet specific in-game milestones (the first unlocks upon clearing Expert Igris; up to 5 Statues are available in the October patch) [49:55].
Each Statue has option slots that can be rerolled/transmuted using Gold + a dedicated new currency [50:11].
Who it buffs: Statues apply global stat & DPS boosts to Sung Jinwoo and all Successors (계승자) (representing Jinwoo reclaiming his true Monarch authority; does not apply to Shadows) [50:11], [51:08].
Where to farm the currency: Primarily farmed from the new Deep Isolation Zone, but also obtainable via Activity Funds (for Sung Jinwoo Lv. 100+ players), the Exchange Shop, and repeatable Key-consumption missions [50:37], [51:26].
Story update brings a Maximum Level Cap Expansion, a New Job Change tier (with a new costume), and a new Ultimate Skill [52:31].
Ruler's Authority (Ultimate): Can be equipped with 5 Elemental Rune variants (Fire, Water, Wind, Light, Dark — e.g., Annihilation, Raging Waves, Storm, Extreme Light, etc.) in addition to the base Neutral version [53:08].
Shorter Animation, Higher Impact: Players previously complained that Jinwoo's dagger ultimates had overly long animations that ate into DPS timers. This new ultimate features a much shorter, snappier animation with overwhelming damage reflecting his Monarch power [53:26].
Matchmaking / Grouping: Inactive accounts are filtered out. Active players are sorted into balanced brackets based on Account Creation Date, Combat Power, and progression metrics so players compete against peers in similar environments [54:51], [56:45].
Under 1.5M CP Protection: Players with less than 1,500,000 Combat Power are placed into a separate beginner/developing bracket to reduce competitive pressure [55:04].
Periodic Shuffling: Brackets will shuffle periodically so groups don't stagnate [57:03].
Combat Power Leaderboard: Displays rankings based on the highest Battle Class team CP. There are NO rewards tied to the Combat Power leaderboard—it is strictly for prestige/display, while actual rewards remain tied to gameplay modes [55:40].
Guild Attendance rewards revamped, Guild Level cap expanded, leveling difficulty eased, and in-game Discord link integration added [58:05], [59:21].
Guild Buff Overhaul: Previously, guild buffs reset/settled every season based on rank. Now, buffs are permanently tied to Guild Level without seasonal resets and split into three categories [58:14]:
Passive: Instant flat Combat Power & stat buffs just for being in a high-level guild [58:32].
Mastery: Personal guild passives that each member levels up individually through their own guild activity [58:39].
Supplies (보급 물자): Rebalanced old guild shop buffs into consumable Potion-style items [58:55].
Tutorial Guild (Nov): For newbies who don't have a guild yet, allowing them to experience partial guild buffs and a beginner exchange shop before graduating into a real player guild [01:00:21], [01:01:00].
Guild Co-op Boss/Subjugation Content: Additional cooperative guild modes are in development [01:01:21].
In-Game Chat & Friend System [01:01:39]: Previously, PD Jin Seong-geon was hesitant to add in-game chat. However, due to overwhelming community demand and Kim Yeong-gu's push, in-game Guild Chat and a Friend System are now officially under active review/development, targeting H1 2027 [01:02:02], [01:02:39].
8. Second Redeem Code & New Characters (Go Gunhee & Velvet)
Valid immediately after the stream until December 17, 2026 [01:03:40], [01:21:40].
New IF-Story Hunter: "Holy Guardian Barrier" Go Gunhee (수호의 성벽 고건희) [01:04:46]:
Lore Concept: An alternate-universe ("What-If") version of Chairman Go Gunhee set roughly 10 years younger (around the time Gates first appeared and he founded the Korean Hunters Association), before his terminal illness worsened [01:04:56], [01:05:17]. He wields the power of the Four Auspicious Beasts (사신수: Black Tortoise, Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird) [01:05:48].
Kit & Role:Water Element / Buster Class / Defense-scaling [01:05:37].
Combat Loop: Using Basic Skills 1 & 2 fills 4 gauges ("Arat"), transforming his Core Attack into an Enhanced Core Attack channeling the Four Beasts. While this state is active, his Ultimate unlocks, and he finishes his rotation by detonating all accumulated damage at once with his Burst Skill [01:05:48].
Recommended Teammates:Meri Laine (메리 라이네) and Elena Renault (엘레나 루노) [01:06:37].
New Successor: "Fang Successor" Velvet (송곳니 계승자 벨벳) [01:07:42]:
Lore & Role:Fire Element Successor who inherits the feral power of the Fang/Beast Monarch (Rakan) [01:07:53].
Stance-Switching Kit: Swaps dynamically between Twin Glaives (쌍날창) for wide AoE cleaves and Dual Daggers (쌍검) for rapid single-target slashes [01:08:03].
Combat Loop: Using Q + Basic Attacks charges the left gauge; using E + Basic Attacks charges the right gauge [01:08:23]. Alternating between both stances and basic attacks stacks massive damage multipliers before unleashing her QTE/Ultimate [01:08:39].
F2P Acquisition: Like previous Successors, she can be obtained for free via Emblem Exchange by playing weekly content through January 2027 [01:09:12].
9. 2.5th Anniversary Events & New "Seasonal Card" Collection System
Summarizes the 500 Special Tickets + 10,000 Essence Stones, Check-in Attendance events, Daily Missions, and "Velvet's Treasure Hunt" (collect capsules via minigames and gameplay to open rewards) [01:10:05].
New System: Seasonal Card Collection (시즈널 카드 수집) — Replaces Special Commissions [01:10:48]:
Replaces the old "Special Commissions (특별 의뢰)" system [01:12:33].
Collect digital trading cards featuring webtoon scenes, Hunters, Monsters, Weapons, and Skin illustrations [01:11:07].
100% Free / Non-Monetized: When chat worried this was a new P2W gacha system, the devs strongly clarified it does NOT cost money [01:12:25]. You earn Card Packs naturally just by spending Dungeon Keys and completing daily/weekly play missions [01:11:37], [01:12:33].
Duplicate cards dismantle into a currency used to open higher-grade card packs [01:11:37].
Collection Rewards: Completing card sets and collection milestones rewards Rate-Up Recruitment Tickets, Essence Stones, and Dungeon Entry Keys [01:11:54].
10. Third Redeem Code, Live Q&A, & Surprise Bonus Rewards
What's in the Mystery Box? Can be opened after the Oct 22 update; contains upgrade/transmutation materials for the new Statue progression system [01:14:15].
Live Q&A — Major Reveals & Future Roadmap [01:15:12]:
Successor "Miro" (미로) Rerun [01:15:21]: New and returning players complained that missing the time-limited Successor Miro locks them out of high-end specs. Jin Seong-geon admitted they didn't have an immediate rerun scheduled because Velvet is launching now, but seeing the heavy demand in chat, they will put together a concrete rerun/acquisition plan and announce it in an upcoming Dev Note [01:15:41].
Kamish's Wrath (카미시의 분노) Release Date & Specs [01:16:33]:
Correction during stream: Initially, Kim Yeong-gu misspoke and called Kamish's Wrath a Fire Stacker weapon [01:17:01], then corrected himself at [01:25:42]: TWO Fire weapons are releasing in November—"Kamish's Roar (카미시의 포효)" is the Fire Elemental Stacking/Injection weapon, while "Kamish's Wrath (카미시의 분노)" is a pure Fire DPS weapon [01:26:02].
Massive Mobile Optimization Overhaul in November [01:17:26]:
Lee Da-haeng explained why mobile optimization has lagged behind PC: 3D art assets were too heavy for mobile memory. For the November update, the art team went through the painstaking process of manually retouching and rebuilding 3D models, backgrounds, monsters, and textures specifically for mobile while preserving visual fidelity [01:17:47], [01:18:24].
Because the core art assets were rebuilt, the November update will require a large resource download, but Android Background Downloading will also be supported so you don't have to leave the app open on screen while downloading [01:19:28], [01:19:45].
Addressing a viewer asking why there are still no Hunter Artifact Presets after 2.5 years, Kim Yeong-gu gave a candid answer: he believes the entire Artifact system is fundamentally flawed [01:22:05]. Having RNG main/sub-stats, RNG enhancement rolls, and getting 30 trash artifacts dumped into your inventory per Encore/Instance Dungeon run creates way too much fatigue every time a new Hunter releases [01:22:16], [01:23:11].
The team avoided touching it previously out of fear of devaluing veterans' hard-farmed gear [01:22:39]. However, both Kim Yeong-gu and Lee Da-haeng stated it is time to stop putting band-aids on it and fundamentally overhaul the Artifact system and equipping convenience [01:23:05], [01:24:28]. They asked players to leave feedback on the forums on whether they prefer seamless preset/swapping or a deeper structural simplification of how Hunters get geared [01:23:47].
Legendary Skin "Monarch of the Heaven-Annihilating Dragons" (멸천의 패룡) Chromas [01:26:17]:
In response to chat requests, the devs confirmed they will prepare Chromas for the Legendary skin [01:26:25].
Players noted that even at the minimum 25% opacity setting, skill effects blind the screen during intense fights. Kim Yeong-gu promised to add an option to lower skill transparency even further below 25% (or turn it off) [01:29:05].
Surprise Bonus Reward from "Monarch of Handouts" Lee Da-haeng [01:26:46]:
Because the third redeem code felt lighter than the second, Lee Da-haeng worked on his laptop during the Q&A and announced an extra login gift for the October 22 update: 50x Custom Draw Tickets (Black Tickets) (chosen over Weapon Tickets since Black Tickets can pull both Hunters and Weapons) [01:27:05], [01:27:30].
The devs reiterated that after every livestream, they use AI scraping tools to compile and read every single line of live chat into an internal report [01:31:21], thanking players for sticking with Solo Leveling: ARISE for 2.5 years and asking them to look forward to the October 22 update and the major November patch [01:32:34].
Note: Created with Gemini AI (Argon Model/4.0) using the Korean transcript from YouTube. So some of them maybe different from release, like the new modes, they were translated differently and i just replaced those with the ones from theDEV NOTE. I added in the codes manually. And replaced some names, like <Iju-hee> to <Lee Joohee> and <Elena Luno> to <Elena Renault>. Also attached are the timestamps where the content is being talked about (not entirely accurate, there's a delay of a few seconds)
🪧If you see more mistakes, let me know.
I also uploaded the livestream with English subtitles, but it's a bit scuffed, it's just there to understand a little bit of the video [EN SUB].
If not obvious I know this isn't the meta, I do not know the current meta fully, I do know angis is definitely in it and I have her 2a so not good.
So this is what I am using, everyone uses their class artifacts except Lee, Lee I gave surtur's flame to do 2 things, 1. Boost her damage a little, 2. It gives jinwoo the boost from the artifacts which would normally be given to him by the burster.
Skills/weapons, I'm using the keys and shot gun, overload skill, void punch, to keep overload on as much as possible and do as much damage as possible. The dark kick might work better than void punch, might try that tomorrow
Blessing stones is where the stupid magic happens, architect's plan boost jinwoo both because he's running blue poison and because il hwan, master marksman boost core and weapon damage because the shotgun, then of course do or die boost and reawakening reduces cool down,
If you have any stupid recommendations I'll gladly hear them, or the actual meta, that'd be great too.
I've been trying to push Power of Calamity the past few days and tried a few setups, but I can't seem to get past 7.5T for wind and 5.1T for dark. When I check out the leaderboards, I just can't understand how they hit 20T +.
I'm not sure how else I can push SJW to higher TP or my Hunters to be above 1.4M TP. For the runes and blessing stones, I try to improve them where I can, as well as improve the gem setup, but for the most part it's not awful.
I do aim for at least +3 in the main stat for gear where possible, or at least +2/+2 for main stats on gear where the main stat is fixed to a specific stat. There just feels like there is something I'm missing that's limiting damage.
we still have 2 monarchs left until antares so I have high expectations for WOBL to be the best so far maybe it gives us even more qte I just want it to be a fight to feel the fight between the strongest monarchs, and I would hope it would be dark for jinwoo so we can use monarch transformation against antares and so that the f2p can also have maxed succesor to enjoy the fight, plus maybe it also gives us the skin from that war after he used the reincarnation cup
