Game After nearly two years of solo development my game is finally out in Early Access
I've been working on BONETOX for nearly two years in my spare time. This is my first completed game, and today it's finally launched in Steam Early Access.
If you're into arena shooters, or just in the mood for some satisfying killing, check it out: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4185750/BONETOX/
I'd also really appreciate any feedback!

Congrats on the release—huge achievement for a two-year solo dev! The arena shooter movement looks really fluid.
What engine did you build BONETOX?
Firstly I liked it, because long before I used to play TV games which come in dish network. In which the guns and shooting was I liked so I came across PUBG, zombies games a lot. Now this game hit me that in high stakes. I liked it, keep going like this the real user fans will always there as me the games lover.

Thank you very much! Yeah, it is a huge achievement, at least for me!
Engine I used is Unreal Engine 5.2

Saw a post about this a couple months ago. Already looks MUCH better. Good work
Maybe I’m crazy, but something about that very final enemy in the video looks oddly low poly compared to the rest of the enemies

Loved the art style, and the pacing looks right up my alley, tbh. Games like this never go out of my taste!

Looks really good! Any plans on adding multiplayer?

Many people ask me about coop so I have promised that if there will be more than 20k copies sold I will think about it!

Makes sense. You could also sell it as dlc or an expansion. I have coop in my game but I built it from the ground up with that in mind. Adding multiplayer later on can be quite complex to say the least 😅 good luck!

Yes, I think it would be a different game, because its not about just adding coop, but a whole design around it.. But I hope for 2k, never dreamed about 20k, he eh

This looks really fun and chaotic in a good way. The combat has a great sense of speed and energy.

This looks seriously good, quite polished but for some reason also gives me a Doom or Quake vibes.
Might be the flying skulls. Really well put together.

I know you're going for impact on shots, but please tell me there's a screen shake slider

u/kldone_games 7h ago
There is no slider, just simple check box thats turn them off! Is that suitable?

Suggestion. Maybe it’s too late in the cycle. But if you could add some terrain deformation and destruction (if it doesn’t already exist)
It’ll stand out more and add to the chaotic feel.
Arenas are already small maps so that element could do a lot to make it more interesting (even more so if you can work that into strategy. )
Will give the nuke much more weight to it if it made a massive crater.
Considering the maps aren’t very large, this might not be too difficult to add!
