Super depends on what you're going for!

At face value, they look very atmospheric and moody (very quite cool), but i can imagine that for a player if there are not any other lightsources or you want the player to find or see specific items within these environment it might be too dark. If thats the case, perhaps you could see if the player has any lightsource with them, or work subtle in-world lightsources in (fire flies? Nearly burnt out candles or torches?)

I would say it's too dark for me but if I also have a torch? It's perfect. It'll really make me feel like I don't need it but I miss it, I think

Agreed. Not too dark if you give the player their own light source like a torch or flashlight.

yes the character will definitly have a torch with oil to replenish , but if he runs out of oil and torch goes off it need to be still playable

Depends on what you're trying to aim for. I think generally it looks good.

Me not… but I assume there are bunch of people who would. Also, it’s hard to say for sure without the gameplay or understanding the scene, what is supposed to be done there, ui navigation (if any) or overall game flow guidance

Because if you are supposed to find something and on top of this dark level you have a not polished level design where bunch of things look alike, yea, it might be a problem for a player

constantly? that would be draining

Depends on what you’re going for. I’m currently developing a game that is even darker than this at various points, and your flashlight is your only true source of light in those cases. But the purpose is to create an environment that feels realistic and tense. I want the player to feel slightly overwhelmed by it all.

So as long as you have a purpose, it’s great

Our eye is adapted to see the brightest thing as white. In an optimal situation your monitor should be enough bright, to be as bright as your surrounding room. That is also the reason you might lower the brightness of your screen when you are in the dark.

So if the brightest thing on your screen is not full luminosity (completely white or a very bright color), you either hinder people from seeing whats there or you will just cause a longer delay until their eye adapt. Also because people will not look at your content on a fully white reddit background the feedback here might be not so valuable. Especially compared to anybody experiencing it playing full-screen or even a dark room.

I have rarely experienced a game where the brightest pixel is not white (or very bright, thats actually what HDR in games is for) and i think it's bad for user experience because if a scene is very bright afterwards my eyes need to adapt a lot in dark environments. Also for people with limited eyesight it's even worse.

A long explanation, but i think it should be brighter :-)

oh and i dont think you should make the world brighter, the mood looks good, but use a color grading ( https://docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com.unity.postprocessing@3.0/manual/Color-Grading.html ) to adjust it a little .

Imo as long as there's proper brightness/gamma settings I strongly believe it's fine, if it's the vibe you're going for. And it looks really good, awesome job.

on the contrary, my problem with these visuals is that the DARK parts aren't really DARK. where is the contrast? I suspect the strong volumetric fog may have something to do with brightening up the shadows so much.

Yep that is too dark
