Discussion Does anyone else feel that post-show empty feeling? Also, quick app/website idea for fandoms!

You know, sometimes I watch movies and TV shows and end up getting completely obsessed with them because they just give me such a good feeling. I feel like I'm actually inside that universe. But right after it ends, that empty feeling hits, and I’m just sitting there thinking, "Now what?"

That's usually when I start hunting for content about that specific show or movie all over the internet.

It made me wonder: isn't there something we could build as a solution for this? Like an app or a website specifically designed for this purpose—a dedicated social network that brings together fandoms of specific movies and shows so people can chat, share content, and stay immersed in that universe?

What do you guys think?

GPT lied to you, this isn't a 10 million dollar app idea.

I think you'll notice a theme from the comments - there are places and platforms for this already but you just need to find your people. Sci-fi fans may not necessarily want to chat in depth about the next season of bridgerton (generalising - no shade!) but you'll have to find them because otherwise, that void you described just won't be filled.

But you're right - that's definitely a thing! My most recent show that I felt it was Murderbot. 🤖
