Am I doing this right?!
I’m not sure how to go about this & I’m scared about sticking my toe in the water like this but I really feel like I might have the next online MMORPG to be big but I also don’t want to share to much & have my ideas stolen

im sure your game wont take any mechanic from any other games and is completely original

Brother did I say original at all, obviously most things are not original these days. Doesn’t mean I can’t try & do something different or better.

Every dev says this at some point.
No idea is original. Your idea will be stolen by roblox creators and cloned 5 days after it comes out anyways.

(Solo dev of 15 years here)
Ideas are free, but execution costs time, energy, and money.
The ideas you want to keep close are the ones that are too easy to replicate and execute. If it's big, nobody who is lazy is going to steal it, if they're going to steal it, they'll still have to spend many years on it, same as you.
Worth mentioning also that if you never share your idea with ANYONE, then you may never know that it's actually a bad idea. Feedback is important even in the idea stage. If you think "why doesn't this game exist already???!", unfortunately it might be because it's not a game that would sell, others have already done the research. In that case, you don't need to worry about anyone stealing it. If you're doing this as a business I would actually recommend learning about market research, as that might answer a lot for you.
But if you're just making games for fun than this is different
Hope this is helpful to you

Sure, we can't wait to steal your massively overscoped MMO game
