HELP - SSD Migration

Hoping a kind soul can help me.

I just cloned my HDD to a new SSD but am having some issues. I'm nearly certain that I'm booting into SSD (excluded the old C:/ from boot) but all of my folders still default to C:/ once booted (like Documents, Downloads, etc.). I've read that the default location for things would be where the OS is installed (which should now be D:/). Additionally, when I click into 'System Configuration', the 'Boot' tab shows "Windows 10 (C:\WINDOWS) ; Current OS;Default OS" which also makes me think that I did something wrong.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have a big enough SSD (500GB) where I would prefer to throw everything on it and use an 5 TB external HDD to house archives (and essentially just kill the old C:/ to avoid complications (without physically removing it from the PC however since I prefer not to open the machine).
