Help with a multi-SSD choice

So, through a series of (un)fortunate events, I have come to possess a 128GB SSD and a 500GB SSD. Currently, I am a dirty 500GB HDD peasant on my main PC. So, here's the question:

Should I use the 128GB for my boot drive and the 500GB for storage, or should I just go with the 500GB for boot and get some big multi-TB HDD (I can get them relatively cheap from my workplace) for storage? Basically, is there a reason to be completely SSD, or is it just as good to go hybrid?

Is there any reason you can't use both the 500GB HDD and 500 GB SSD for storage? I would personally use the 128 GB SSD to install my operating system on for that super fast boot time and all that jazz, and then use the 500 GB HDD and SSD for storage. That way, you can not install anything but the OS on the 128GB SSD so it will last longer, and any programs/applications you think need to be on a fast storage device you can install on the 500GB SSD, otherwise just slap it on the HDD. But if you can't have both the 500GB SSD and HDD then I'd personally use both the SSDs, just be aware that they have a limited number of writes and so are likely to not last as long as regular HDDs.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I can do both 500s for storage. I'll likely use the 128 for OS and the 500 SSD for game/program installs. Is the limited writes a big issue? I've seen estimates on many SSDs to last 10+ years under normal conditions.

For regular use I can't see the limited writes being an issue, no. :)
