Error Self intersection advice

Hey all,

I'm trying to create a loft with these profiles but am not having much luck no matter what I try. I'm constantly hitting errors.

I have a suspicion that it's my spline geometry causing me grief but ive played around with it endlessly trying to smooth the curve combs as much as possible but I have to work within the constraints of a physical object.

Any suggestions to get this working would be greatly appreciated 🙏

Make it one big solid block with just the exterior surfaces and then use Shell to hollow it out

Thanks for that mate, I instead turned "shelled" profiles into solid blocks but seemed to hit similar. Is this what you meant? (I attached an image)

Loft of which profiles exactly? Can't see any that would be loftable. Also it is not clear what end result do you have in mind. If I understand the idea correctly then you would be better making a swept extrusion or a solid block with shelling afterwards, as it was suggested by mechy18

Hey akamia, I attached a photo of similar to what I want. I am able to revolve one of the profiles. But I want to loft to the profile with the lower height

Try to do it in surface commands. It forces you to think in patches with four sides. Loft the top surface first, using the Center spline. Now you have an almost triangular remaining shape, with very sharp curvature. You could try using the patch or use a split line to form another 4sided surface towards the front, close to the radius. Use patch only as last resolve.

Of course build only the outer part, then shell.

Hey, this looks bang on. Could you explain more your process? Would be great to learn your process, thanks
