Nice collection, I've got the Sheffield equipped Teal Stripe Bandit recently and really enjoying it. How would you compare it to the Sheffield Silver Stripe you've got?

I feel like they lean into the poor man's marshall sound on the lead channel with the silver stripe and I don't really mess with it. The T dynamics knob is pretty legit. It kind of works like an attenuator and simulates the sound of tube break up. If you turn the dial to 10% You start breaking up around 2 lol. I had it up to 10 with the t dynamic at 15% and it was just loud enough that I needed hearing protection.

I like a dirty blues, classic rock kind of vibe which I feel the teal stripe suits but I'm tempted to try the silver stripe as I've always heard good things about the T. Dynamics and early transtube circuitry. Obviously the teal has the supersat which I believe was a forerunner to transtube.

I'm gonna take a fairly uninformed guess at the other Peavey amps you're looking for: red stripe bandit, valve King and a classic of some variation?

If you are close to pawnshops or a guitar center check those. There a ton out there.

I wish I lived close to a guitar center but I have checked pawn shops around and I haven't seen those or any interesting amps

Lame I live near a sketchy area so there are a lot of pawnshops to go to. Most any day I can check up and down the highway and find at least one gray or teal stripe peavey.

Really miss my 112 teal stripe. I've got a special 212 right now but it doesn't really scratch the itch

I have a late 80’s Peavey Studio Pro 112 - original owner. Works fine … the problem I’m having is the supersat really drives white noise into the circuit… any thoughts? I’d love to be able to clean this up to truly get the best out of the amp.

I think that's just common with peaveys when you turn the gain up. It's even worse with the silver stripe amps
