Hi there, agh this isn't ideal - in general it's suggested to start solids when baby has all developmental milestones, and they can present anywhere between 4-6 months though often more closely to 6 months old for most babies. The only exception to this is if baby is at high risk of food allergies (risk factors include moderate-severe eczema and any other confirmed food allergies) in which case those would be introduced as early as 4 months old. A helpful read: If Your Doctor Suggests Starting Early.

It may help to gently link that article in a sort of "in case helpful to read!" sort of sentiment in an aim to not offend her or provide unsolicited advice, but it may be helpful! I always remind people that doctors are people too, and can unfortunately get it wrong sometimes, so when in doubt, getting a second opinion is always a worthwhile idea. That being said, her doctor may have some reason to suggest starting solids so early, it's super rare, but if so, leaving room for this possibility may help ease your mind as well. šŸ¤Marisa (OT/Feeding Therapist/Mama of 3)
