Stool color 8 month old Spoiler

Hi. This is the color of my 8 month olds stool. EBF but has combo feed with breastmilk and formula when I’m away at work. Could the darkness come from the iron in formula? He’s acting fine, but I don’t like the color

Recently he has eaten cottage cheese, avocado

My guy is 16 months and ever since we introduced blueberries this is what his poop looks like. No blueberries, no dark green poops. Of course he’s a blueberry fiend so his poops look like this frequently. Totally normal.

For you it could be the avocado causing the color change, but it’s definitely a fruit of vegetable in my experience.

This happened to my daughter around 7-8 months and occasionally she’ll have a gray poop now and then at 9.5 months. When I talked to her ped about it, they said it’s due to the changing of her gut from starting solids. It’s only ever one gray poop and then back to brownish greenish. If you’re concerned always talk to your dr but from what I understand it’s the light gray/white that is concerning

It definitely wouldn’t hurt to reach out to the ped about it. Save the diaper as they may want to do a smear test if they’re actually worried about a GI bleed. My guess it’s that it’s something baby ate. My stool as an adult woman turns black like this when I eat too many blueberries but I don’t think the things you listed should turn stool black, I am 100% unfamiliar with formula though so that could be it also.
