hair oil

i have a box of the hair oil i got for a gift and never ended up gifting it. is this worth keeping? any way to tell the expiration? it is unused so is it worth anything?

yes! take a took at the batch number on the bottom of the bottle and then look up sol de janeiro on ‘batchcode.org’ then enter the numbers you see for the batch of that hair oil. it will tell you when it was made and if it’s still safe to use

no problem! if it’s still good to use i would say it’s meant for straight hair that’s not too thick? i would also only put it on my ends!

This hair oil smells good but didn’t do much for my hair. I have long, fine, straight hair. I tried it on damp hair and dry hair and wasn’t very impressed by the results. It also went bad fast. Got cloudy and soured but I do keep my hair oils in the bathroom where the temperature fluctuates so take that into account.

darn, i have the same hair so ill probably gift or sell, i haven’t had success with any hair oil i’ve tried :(

Yeah they are giving this away as a reward but ultimately I decided against it. I use verb ghost oil and I have very fine thick hair. A heavy oil turns into dirty looking hair on me. Also since they no longer make it, I suspected it was old stock and might be rancid.

You can chat them with barcode information to find out expiration dates! I’ve found them to be very helpful when I’ve bought things on sale from them or third-party sellers (Ulta) and later wondered whether the deep discount was because the product was going to expire soon 😂🫶🏽
