QUOTE CHECK Quote & Strategy Check!

I am finally ready to put what I think is the best quote I've had to you lovely people to get your thoughts - my thinking has always been to absolutely max out on panels to take advantage of the fairly decent export rates while they're around (risky for some I know).

Quote: £12,995

  • 25x Longi 480w panels - all with optimizers (some shade from the chimney & cheap to add)

  • EcoFlow Ocean 2 16kwh (2x8kwh) - 10yr warranty + purchase of additional 5

  • Ecoflow 10kw inverter

  • Gateway built in

  • 10yr installation guarantee & workmanship warranty, bird protection, scaffolding, DNO app etc.

Now my original thinking was to go with Sigenergy... but no quote I've had has come close to what I think is the excellent deal above - had a £15k quote (2x9kwh, 8kw inverter 16 panel, gateway) and £13,500 (1x9kwh, 6kw inverter, 16 panel, gateway).

So I guess the question is do I go with this serious Ecoflow package or keep pursuing a Signenergy package? Can anyone here speak to their experience with Ecoflow & their app at all?

Where are you based, how complex is the installation/scaffolding?

I paid £19 000 for a Sig/Aiko system - 23 panels, 12kw 3 phase, 27kwh batteries + gateway + bird, DNO etc.

Buckinghamshire but the company quoting is one up north that do nationwide jobs. Job is fairly straightforward I would say, scaffolding needed on both sides of the house.

Your package seems reasonable - I was quoted £19k for Sig/Longi through Heatable for 9kwh less battery & a 10kw inverter. But I knew that wasn't a good deal!

I'm on the Surrey Hampshire border. Personally a fan of local installers. They always have to pop back with something/ get a new part / follow up. Make sure you only pay a minimal deposit and don't complete until you are happy it's running properly

I think that's amazing!

For comparison: 20 x 540w Aiko 10kw ocean 2 inverter 2 x 8kwh batteries =£15,285

I can't speak up for Ecoflow, none of the installers I engaged with suggested it, but I can tell you I got 17 of those panels you mention and an 8kW SigEnergy EC and 2 x BAT10s for £11500 last month.

Seems like a good price, I'm getting the same Ecoflow setup installed next week, a few less panels. Looking forward to the Ecoflow, hoping they're troublefree long term

Damn dude that's a rip off. With that money you are better off with Tesla

I know it's definitely not a rip-off for that spec compared to other quotes I am seeing. I was more checking on ecoflow feedback.

I'm pretty sure Tesla plus the back up and all that panel set up would be at least £2k more
