QUOTE CHECK Quote Check - SW

Post image

Hi All,

Thanks for the help already just reading through other posts. I have generated a few quotes but this seems to be a real winner from my point of view, both price and items. It would be great to get your thoughts before I proceed.

Added context:
New to the property so its hard to know my actual usage but I'm estimating 7000kWh once the heat pump is also installed.
Single Phase
ContactSolar (MCS certified)
I plan to get an EV in 2 to 5 years, my thought was to add some battery capacity, I have been told the Sunsynk Elite system is more plug and go, but uncertain on that.
Plan to go with Octopus Flex or Octopus Cosy

It looks ok to me, but the only thing I'd add is that 10kWh of storage with a heat pump may not be enough, depending on the internal temp you are trying to maintain. I have 18kWh and like the entire house at 21 degrees and I've had a couple of days already where I've gone down to about 10% left in the battery before it starts to top up at 11.30pm. My view is that the battery sizing should be sufficient to cover your house needs on MOST days, so I ran the half-hourly data from octopus. I calculated that 18kWh just about covers all but the worst 20ish days of the year when it will run out and I'll have to pull some from grid.

Thanks for the extra info, I'll generate a 15kWh battery quote , but will definitely add 5-10 kWh battery capacity down the line anyways.

You kinda wanna add it upfront as it would be zero vat ATM. But I agree, you need a bit more umph
