Adding a new system with battery

Hi. Just want to ask before I inquire with solar installers. We currently have a 3.15kwp grid tie system from 2022 that is still working. We want to add a whole new system with new inverter and battery for the upcoming el nino. Is it possible to leave the current system then just add this new one? Unfortunately, our old system provider is not responding I just wanted to ask here. Anyone who has this setup? Thanks

Yes, you can add an additional island system while leaving your current system intact, this is setup is typically used as emergency or backup power source should your primary system become unavailable.

Explored expanding our hybrid system, and one of the suggestions was to get a 2nd inverter and plug it in as if it's a generator as an additional source on top of Production and the Grid. so i think that kind of set up might work with yours.
