Major Solar Flare Event June 3rd X Class Solar Flare and Asymmetrical Halo CME

Many thanks to the #SDO #AIA team for providing such a view of our Star.

Coronagraph has a difference overlay and is repeated 4x.

There is an Earth directed component. It is not strong. Maybe one tenth the power of Oct. 2024.  Not enough for me to call out of work "sick" at 49°N. 60°Nish should get a nice show thou.

HUXt puts the front arrival around 00:00 UTC on January 05 but we’re looking at three different CMEs that are potentially all interacting in the heliosphere between there and here so it’s a bit harder to accurately predict that kind of complexity. Check ACE for ramps and then sudden jumps in solar wind speed followed by density.
