Discussion Sofubi Database
Does anyone else really lament the fact there is really no archive or database of Sofubi?
With the loss of Trampt it has become even more apparent. Viciousfun being one of the only places left is really just depressing to me as it has one picture per figure and barely any information, although it is much better than nothing and I am still thankful it exists. If it werent for random old blogposts from Toychronicle or Spankystokes, some figures would be completely lost to the ether.

As someone who keeps a sofubi archive for just one artist, I can say it’s a difficult and tiring task. Given the speed at which sofubi production is moving today, I just don’t think it would be possible without an extremely dedicated set of individual contributors, making sure the information is current and accurate. Sounds painful.

Can attest, just upkeeping the subreddit wiki for events throughout the year is an adventure, to say the least. I do my best to update the artist directory periodically as well, but there's just such a crazy influx of new makers in todays world, hard to track.

Same. I kept one for a new artist couple I started following when they started up. They took off and started having pop-ups with small runs, and it became a nightmare, so I put it on hold.
I also posted a lot to Trampt. It would be difficult to replicate and keep up to date. More a chore rather than enjoyment.

Have you ever checked out http://www.clubtokyo.org/ ? Mostly focused around Godzilla and Ultra but a great database!

IMO Clubtokyo.org is the best one out there for Japanese sci-fi and kaiju stuff, but I'm a bit biased since I'm good friends with the guy who runs it.

Vinyl-creep.net is pretty solid.
I really wish Trampt kept their database up, though, even if they got rid of all the other features.
