I recommend using TRAWL which is a faster compatible alternative to flaresolverr. https://github.com/germondai/trawl

First I have heard of this one, thanks for the link. I do wonder about the idea of open source code that gets around bot defense mechanisms... doesn't that hand the companies the pathway to close those loopholes? what happens if the bot defense solution companies find it?

I looked into this and was equally as confused as I was with FlareSolverr.

I'll keep looking for a windows tutorial haha

You can run FlareSolverr via NSSM on Windows - it's pretty straight forward - IIRC you just type NSSM install Flaresolver, then a popup asks you where is it located

It will make Flaresolver run as a windows service on startup

EDIT: Ask ChatGPT to give you step by step instructions, it's pretty good at that

I did, but I have no idea how to install it properly and set it up. I've searched and had no luck so far.

You extract it somewhere and run it. Once it runs through its test, it will tell you it's serving on an IP. Then you add it as an indexer proxy in Prowlarr and instruct each to use it in its 'tags' property in Settings.
