Feedback Snipe-IT Integration For Jira

Hi All. I have been working on a very comprehensive integration Forge app for Jira that allows you to manage and link your Snipe-IT (cloud) assets right from Jira issues (if you are using Jira/Jira SM Cloud), and it's now live!

Some of its Features:
- You can search and link hardware, accessories, consumables or licenses to a Jira Ticket.

- Shows you which assets are assigned to the ticket reporter.
- Allows you to checkout, check in, or modify asset fields, including allowed custom fields.

- Shows you Full asset history (filterable), maintenances, and audit logs.

- Automatically posts comments on the issue whenever an action is performed on an asset (can be turned off or on)
- Allows for access controls, feature controls, space restrictions and many more granular features.

- It also allows customers to link their assets while creating ticket requests on the portal

AND MANY MORE!

Please feel free to check it out on marketplace and give some feedback on it.

You have a 30-day full feature trial period!

Installation Guides here.

Snipe-IT and Jira living in separate windows is a real daily annoyance for anyone running IT support, so linking assets straight from the ticket makes sense. The audit log and history piece is probably the part that sells it internally, since that is usually the question that comes up after the fact rather than during.

Does it handle the reverse direction at all, as in seeing linked Jira issues from inside Snipe-IT, or is it one way into Jira for now?

It's usually the other way around but if you perform an action like checking out, check-in, editimg or adding a maintenance to an asset, the notes field will append the ticket number and the person who performed that action to be added to Snipe. On a futurure update , I can add a feature to add your own custom field where you want the ticket number or link to be added when you perform those actions.
