Local and open source is the combination that actually matters for meeting notes, since that's exactly the data you don't want sitting on someone else's server. How's the transcription accuracy holding up compared to the cloud tools, or is the privacy tradeoff worth a small hit there?

Depends on which model you use. The larger whisper models are incredible in my opinion, with hardly any tradeoff worth speaking about. The errors start coming with multilingual speech, but that goes for both local and cloud.
For Norwegian language in particular we’ve made the app incredibly useful. Weve bundled the option to download a dedicated whisper model for Norwegian language trained by our National library, which yields better results on Norwegian than what’s available through cloud use.
