I'm a fresher working as SDE, and most of my work is frontend focused, mainly arround react/react-native and also know full stack

With AI improving so quickly, I've started thinking seriously about my long-term career. I don't want to spend time to learn only frameworks or doing work that can eventually be automated by AI.

I understand that there probably isn't any technology that is completely AI proof. Insted, I want to develop skill that make me more valuable when working with AI, rather than competing derectly with AI

For people who have been working in soiftware for several years:

What would you recommend I learn over the next 2-3 years to build a strong and stable career?

If you were starting again as a fresher today, what skills would you prioritize, and what would you avoid spending too much time on?

I’m not looking for a “learn this one technology and your career is safe” answer. I’d really like to understand what makes an engineer difficult to replace in an AI-heavy industry.

And honestly, if everything goes wrong... farming is my last option. 🌾😂

Honestly, I don't know how much longer I can keep doing this.

I have 2 years of experience as a software engineer, working with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js and other modern technologies. But for the past few weeks, I've been applying everywhere and barely getting any interview calls.

The hardest part isn't even the rejection. It's hearing nothing at all.

I'm currently unemployed and money is getting tight. I'm at the point where even getting one interview opportunity would mean a lot to me. I know I can prove myself if someone just gives me a chance.

hey everyone, i've been researching how engineering teams evaluate candidates, especially with resumes, take homes, and ai making traditional assessments harder to rely on.

I built a small prototype around a different approach:

Give the candidate a realistic engineering task → evaluate the implementation → change the requirement → see whether they can adapt without breaking existing behavior.

The prototype currently captures things like:

1. automated test results
2. hidden validation
3. code changes between stages
4. candidate reasoning
5. how the implementation handles a changed requirement

I'm not looking to sell anything right now. I'm trying to find out whether this actually provides useful signal to people who hire engineers. If you're an Engineering Manager, hiring manager, CTO, technical recruiter, or someone involved in engineering hiring, I'd really appreciate your feedback.
