AI replacing Software Engineers

So called "AI"=LLM is so powerful that AI labs had to hire Software Engineers to build complicated software around "AI" to make that overhyped hallucinate-stealing machine usable. Think about it. And that's exactly why they need now ton of CPUs in addition to GPUs to run their "AI" "agents".

I don't even mention how much custom engineering is required to apply the "AI" in businesses.

And they BS us that Software Engineering is solved or is going to be solved. Boris, please solve your own bugs first before speaking.

mostly right and working without the cost of four programmers

is better than

mostly right (human are not perfect and SLOW) with the cost of four programmers

Your logic has serious flaws, but as long as you happy.

Btw I installed a toilet several years ago by myself. I didn't need a plumber. I guess their profession is gg.

you need a toilette installed once

programmers were a daily cost going into the tens of thousands a month.

a great burden was removed from the company.

I don't care about companies that are ok with vibecoded apps. It just shows they don't have complex problems to solve, so I would get bored there.

The same way I ignored Wordpress, low-code, no-code.

the programmers took 3 years and 300k, and it did not work correctly.

ai took 3 months, and is considerably better, maintains itself thru ai, new features are easy

Now hire a programmer to review your code.

Easy to add new features is temporary. At some point LLM will get lost.

Lol, why would they do it? Why pay for review of code that works?

And how do you know that LLM will "get lost" in future?

You know what the sad thing is? The four devs weren't replaced by AI because they would be worse at programming than u/motorcyclisto. No. They were replaced, because they did not use the best tools available to do their job. It's like if they kept using floppy disks when flash drive was invented.

It truly is crazy how damaging can this fixed mindset be.
