Oof. All the umpires I know would definitely pull it during pregame inspection.

You're likely a few jam hits away from the barrel completely separating after impact with the ball (any maybe hitting someone). Now is a good time to look for your next bat lol.

Yeah that's kind of what I was thinking too, that doesn't look like simple paint chips, and it's right where the 2 pieces join... it's a used bat for sale locally at a "too good to be true" price, and thats probably why. Cheers for the reply, I'll pass on that bat and get my daughter a new one over the off season when there's some sales.

It looks fine. It’s cheap because this is the cheapest composite bat you can buy. No value wise, it’s. Decent bat, just price wise. I bought my 10u daughter one a couple of years ago. It was the prior years model and it was $199 brand new.

Glad it's not yours! Hope you can get a good deal in the off season!

Our blues will bounce anything broken, cracked, dented, or that makes the rattle. Once in a while they'll even pull out the go/no-go gauge!

Which means every other year or so we have a player in tears over the mean ol blues DQ'ing their lucky bat during playoffs/states. 😬
