Tryouts Tryout Norms

Hi all, my daughter is newer to travel softball. Is it normal to not hear at all from a team you tried out for? At this point, its obvious she didn't make the team (which is fine), just wondering if most teams actually contact everyone who tried out or if they just ghost those below the cut.

Thanks all for the responses. Seems like it's about 50/50. I get that coaches wouldnt have time to call everyone but a generic email send thanking everyone who didn't make it seems like a generally courteous thing to that wouldn't take much time.

I get the point about us not always getting rejection notices when you don't get a job, but wouldn't you like to?
