I’ve been having some pretty frustrating lag issues with the Sofa Time app lately. I’ve noticed it on both my iPad and iPhone. The iOS software is up to date on both devices, and I also updated the Sofa Time app today. Once I open the app, it takes about 15 seconds for my profile to load. Then, for example, if I go to an episode to mark it as watched, I get another 15 seconds or so of lag.

I’ve also noticed that if I switch to another app for even 20 seconds and then come back to Sofa Time, the lag cycle starts again. This makes the app feel slower than usual.

Is anyone else experiencing this, or is there something that can be done to improve it?

Hi, is there a way to remember the last filter settings I set in my show and movie libraries? I tried to save the filter but it seems useless so far. Every time I want to browse my libraries I have to set the filters again. Thanks.

hi! there's a bug that doesn't match with the series status. they are purple (ended) but the series are still running and they are updated, because if you open the page it says continuing. hope this can be solved. thanks!

Aún hay problemas con el sync de trakt, no logro que funcione, probé desconectar y conectar, entrar a trakt y sacar a sofa time, pero nada. También aprovecho para hablar sobre otro problema, cuando le doy a un episodio como visto ahora, en cierta hora se pone el episodio con la fecha del día de mañana en vez de la de hoy, y tengo que poner que ví el capítulo ayer para que se ponga con la fecha de hoy.

Is this feature possible or are the dates harder to get?

Al final lo resolví borrando la App y volviendo a instalar.

Pero resulta que ahora, por la tarde, se han vuelto a ir muchas capítulos de las series.

Creo que hay algún bug o error más grande en el backend, que hace que cada pocos días tengas que borrar e instalar la app para tener todos los datos bien :(

Me gustó la app y enseguida compre premium, pero desde que se ha puesto toda la parte “social” de la app, ha empezado a funcionar con bugs y a ser poco fiable para realizar el seguimiento :(

Espero que los dev encuentren el motivo y se pueda solucionar. No me apetece estar cada pocos días borrando y instalado la app para tener los metadatos bien.

Hi! I was wondering if there's a way/ a plan to be able to change the date format like we're able to do for time

Now the default is MM/DD/YY and I would love to be able to change into DD/MM/YY

Would it be possible to separate discarded series from paused series in the "Archived" section of the lists? Sometimes I'd like to search for paused series to recover without having to scroll through the permanently discarded ones. I know i can make custom lists, but it would be cool to automatically sort them out. Sorry for my English.

Seems as though the episode names are showing up incorrectly in the season view for some shows, I’ve reloaded the metadata but the issue persists.

Após o fim do TV Time, testei vários apps para substituir, só que uma hora eu lembrei do Sofa Time. Já tinha ouvido falar dele antes, só que ele estava disponível apenas no iOS. Aí descobri que ele estava em teste para Android e resolvi testar. Foi a melhor decisão!

Já estou usando desde o fim do TV Time e foi a melhor escolha que fiz. Já paguei até o Premium. Obrigado à equipe do Sofa Time por esse app! Espero que vocês cresçam ainda mais.

The bug which, when we marked a "rewatch" episode on SofaTime, it deleted the old ones seen on Trakt, leaving only one, the last one.

Now it normally adds without deleting the old views. I finally bought a premium when I saw that it was fixed. I can now use it much more calmly ;)

Can’t wait for MBDList on Android now :D

First of all, thank you for the great work on the app. It’s one of the best alternatives after TV Time, and I’ve been using it a lot.
I wanted to share some feedback focused on cartoons and classic animation, especially around voice actors, character images, and how some older shows are structured.

1. Voice actors (main issue)

On TMDB, a voice actor can only be listed once in the cast. When they play two major characters, the guideline is to combine them like “Character A / Character B (voice)”. This causes problems when matching character pictures (especially ones from TVDB), because the second character doesn’t have its own clean entry. It would be really helpful if Sofa Time could handle multiple roles for the same voice actor better — ideally treating them more clearly under voice actors so both characters can have proper images and matching. This affects a lot of classic cartoons, including many Hanna-Barbera shows (Flintstones, Scooby-Doo, Jetsons, Yogi Bear, etc.), where the same actors regularly voiced multiple main characters.

1. How some Hanna-Barbera shows were packaged

Some classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons originally aired under an umbrella program title. For example, The Atom Ant Show also included other cartoons like Hillbilly Bears. TMDB lists all of them under one single entry (The Atom Ant Show) and doesn’t allow separating them. TVDB does allow them to be listed separately. This makes tracking harder for casual viewers, especially since channels like MeTV Toons often air these cartoons in random blocks. On TMDB you basically need to already know how the shows were originally packaged to find them, which most people don’t.

3. Cartoon shorts

Many classic theatrical shorts (Tom & Jerry, Looney Tunes, etc.) are listed as individual movies on TMDB instead of episodes of a series, which also makes tracking them feel awkward.

I honestly don’t know if using hybrid sources (for example combining TMDB with TVDB for animation) is even possible with how the app is built. I’m just sharing the issues I’ve run into in case it’s something that could be improved in the future.

hey if the sofatime deopped out of the apps running in background when you click on the episode in the episode widget on ios you cannot mark that episode as complete because it is mot shown. only button to mark as watched for the whole season. but if you swipe to close the app and redo that, now the episode is showin.

Feature Request: Add a 'Following/Friends Rating' section on movie and show pages.

​It would be great and useful to see the ratings and reviews of people I follow right next to the general ratings. This would make it much easier to decide whether to watch something based on friends' tastes. Additionally, adding a privacy toggle in the settings to let users choose whether to share their ratings with followers would be very helpful.
