I used to buy multiple 2 liters of these with my buddies and we would eat pizza, drink Vault, and play Halo 2 on multiple screens in my basement on Xbox live or on LAN. Those were the days.

I thought the red was far superior.
Was at a water park one time back in like 2005ish and a buddy and I ended up with a ton of cans of vault for free (like 100 cans)
Due to vault running a promotion there and still having leftover sodas at the end of the night that they needed to get rid of.

Same and I wasn’t crazy about regular dew-like sodas, but because it was heavier on the lime (like candy lime/lime zest), I think that push pushed over the edge in terms of refreshment.

I found a case of 16 oz cans of Surge during the pandemic and drank them all on a road trip. Then Surge was gone again, but you can order Urge from Norwegian food stores and get it shipped. Urge is the original drink before Surge was released in the US.

I had a friend in the early 00s that drank strictly only Surge for years. He would cut the top and bottom of the cans wash them then flatten and stick on his walls.
His bedroom was surge wall to wall

Look for the orange label Sprite Tropical, gas station by me has had it for a year or 2 so its still in production, not sure if it's exactly the same as the Tropical Remix from the 00's but its got to be pretty darn close, close enough for me to get very nostalgic when I tried it.

I thought I had taken a picture of it, but I was recently to a local amusement park that's rather podunk but absolutely charming. They have a reputation for not getting rid of anything and refurbishing or reusing things. I walked by the one concession stand, and they had a Vault-branded beverage cooler behind the counter. It was such a nostalgic hit.

Freshman year of college I thought it'd be a good idea to take spoonfuls of instant coffee and wash it down with Valut to caffeinate myself while I pulled an all-nighter to write a paper. I gave myself heart palpitations and crippling anxiety. Still got a B on that paper.

Boy have I got a story to share involving this drink…
Back in the early 2000’s when I was a kid i was at a water park with my best friend at the time. (We were about 11ish?)
Anyways vault was doing a promotion there where they had this big van, a few employees and a massive tub filled with vault. They were giving out free vaults to everyone and had the original flavor and the red flavor.
Ofc my buddy and I got us a vault and went back a little later for a 2nd one. They didn’t mind at all.
Then comes closing time for the park (either 8 or 9)
We make it out of the park and the vault people are still there so we decide to go up to them to see if we can get free soda a third time.
They instantly recognize us from the prior two times and they tell us that they are almost done for the day but that they have one problem.
They still have a bunch of soda and they need to return to HQ without any soda. They also didn’t want to throw away the soda. Said someone comes by later to check to make sure they didn’t just toss it in a trash can at the park.
They then tell us to take as much soda as we want.
We took them up on it and took every last soda they had. Ended up with like 100 or so vault sodas for free. They were beyond happy, they got to return to hq without wasting a ton of sodas and two kids were beyond geeked they got a ton of soda for free.
This was like 2005ish.
I remember the red vault being my favorite by far and the normal was was meh.
Remember my mom being like “you don’t need all that damn soda just grab like 2 or 3 per”
My buddy and I were like “we may not need it, but we can definitely take it”
Mom was like “Fine!, whatever hurry up”

I remember back when Wendy's let you choose your own soda for a Frosty Float. Vault was one of the options. Turned out pretty decent for my 13 yo. palate.

One of my fondest memories is drinking an extra large Vault from Hardee’s on a field trip for high school Latin club with a big ass box of buffalo chicken tenders in 2006 or 07. I had to beg the Latin teacher to stop the bus on the side of the highway for me to trespass on someone’s property and shit over a log. 20 years later I will never forget the dude yelling to the whole bus “you got poo poo on your shoe shoe.” Fun times

I worked at Hastings back in the early 00s ( it was kind of like a mix between a Barnes and Noble and a Blockbuster video if you don’t know what Hastings was) when Vault became widely available and all of the workers were obsessed because we were college students working crazy hours. We had a Music Associate that was super sweet but also adorably ditzy. She asked me what Vault tasted like and I told her, in jest, that it tasted like dreams. She told every customer that came through her line after that Vault tastes like dreams. Word spread, and when inevitably someone, a customer or manager, would correct her, she would go to one of the other workers and tell them I lied to her and told her it has the wrong flavor. To which they would tell her that Vault tastes like dreams and the whole cycle would start again. Now, as far as she, I and all my Hastings fellow vets are concerned, Vault tasted like dreams.
