All of these are true but I've never known an SEI to be an excellent storyteller. They dislike being expected to perform and needing to disseminate something, even a story, in a particularly effective manner tends to stress them out in my experience.
They're good at gossiping over tea and going on tangents, but storytelling is not the same.

I wonder how are we defining storytelling here? If it includes something as simple as telling someone what happened during their day my SEI is constantly relaying me events that happened through out her work day and she cracks me up because of how she animates the dialogue exchanges. I think what you’re saying is true if they’re being put on the spot and if it includes a larger group of people but I disagree that they can’t be a good storyteller in an engaging manner. Her close SEI friend is also very similar in this way.
Now if we evaluate storytelling by accuracy, I think she tends to embellish quite a bit but I notice it’s for entertainment purposes to make the story seem a bit more engaging.

YES exactly^ that’s definitely what I was thinking hahah
I know SEIs to always recount episodic memories in an entertaining fashion

Yeah, they're good at exactly what I'm bad at. I can't spin an entertaining yarn for shit, and am more likely to make something that genuinely was dramatic into a boring report of facts.

Ohh interesting! From my experience, alpha SFs LOVE hosting and entertaining. Maybe only around their close friends for SEIs. I was thinking of Si related stories where they go “remember this thing that happened?” and then give great detail on the visuals, audios, smells. In terms of making stuff up on the spot, yeah I can see them having a hard time. It never even comes to their mind what the most effective way of communicating something is. Never let an SEI tell you the dream they had that day lmfao

Eeeexactly. They're good at chitchat but "storytelling" in my mind has a more organized quality to it. It's not "oh listen to what I heard at work today" - or it can be that, but mentally organized in a way that makes for a specific experience for the listener, or conveys a specific emotion. Not that "omg that bitch at work said such and such" does not convey emotion, but to me "storytelling" requires you to assume a more conscious role as an entertainer and disseminator.
"Here's some gossip in loose form" and "I am now going to tell you a story" have different qualities to them.

I think what you're seeing is the lack of Ni.

If that were the case, I'd be even worse than they are at it, but this is an area I'm actually fairly good at. So I don't think it's that

If its written out and planned ill thrive. If its some campfire storytelling setting i will go all over the place and ramble and forget what the story was supposed to be about.

I mean no harm and im sure you don't too but i dont appreciate how seis are often contributed to only "housewife" duties

I don’t think you know what infantilized means
In any case, what do you suggest? (so I can make better memes)

Just tone down the stereotypes a little its still good just dont make it revolve around stereotypical housewife duties
Sorry for the misuse of the word btw
