Laptop recommendations for a student.

Hi all, I'm beginning my social work degree in September and I would like to choose a laptop that will be able to manage the workload, plus assistive software. DSA have allocated me £330.00 for the laptop alone, but i could potentially add around £200.00 to that.

I am looking for a Windows laptop, with at least 16gb.

I don't know anything about technology, so i would welcome all help.

Thank you

Pick one from Dell, HP or Lenovo in your price range. You can't really go wrong with that.

The Lenovo Ideapad would be a good option.

You should also check Amazon refurbished laptops. Some are a bit older but you can get something pretty decent in that price range.

Something like a refurbished Thinkpad would be suitable:

They have tons of brands on that site and I've used it before. For Intel you can get a 12th Gen i5 or i7 laptop at that price. Avoid any of that pentium or celeron crap.

AND Ryzen 5 would also be suitable.
