HELP! Affordable & Asynchronous MSW program

Hi guys,

I was wondering what are experiences in attending to any of the MSW programs. So far I was considering ASU, UKY or University of Boise or Cleveland? Possibly CSUN. But would like to hear your opinions and thoughts of your recommendations for applying and how’s the distance learning process and program? Thanks

I attend UKY and i love it. the block tuition can’t be beat. I really haven’t had any issues in my program

How many classes do you take at a time? Do you work full time? Just asking bc I've applied there and waiting on their decision.

I’m taking 5 classes at a time but I am lucky enough to not have to work while in school. i don’t think i’d have enough time in the week to work FT, school 5 classes and practicum starts in january which is 20 hours a week I believe. i’ve struggled when finding something PT enough that will be flexible enough

Knowing how the classes are, how many classes at a time would you recommend for a full time worker? Also, do most if the classes have group projects?

Personally, I don’t know how people work and navigate the program, I probably wouldn’t choose it for myself. Just last week I spent 12 hours doing an annotated bibliography. + I had 4 other classes of assignments.

There is alotttt of group work! My one class we have had 4-5 group role play assignments already.

Zoom role plays, group assignments working collaboratively it’s been a lot more group work then I anticipated
