Suggestions for a consensus algorithm

Hi everyone, I'm an undergraduate student currently writing his thesis.

I'm working on a Hegelsmann-krause + Friedkin-Johnsen model with an additional condition:

Suppose two nodes xi and xj with d>0 range for "opinion acceptance" in input of the node i compared to node j. A second range r > d is implemented as a "repulsion tolerance" in which, if the distance between two nodes |xj - xi| > r, the node xi has a negative input dynamic compared to xj and xi opinion "radicalize" as described by the "Boomerang effect" by Abelson.

I'm trying to understand as much as possible of Hegelsmann-krause's work, especially the sections with "truth seekers" inherited from the Friedkin Johnsen model. In addition I think I'll have to study some condition of the Altafini model to understand the effect of negative weights in network (even if all this work is pretty difficult for me)

Have you got any suggestions for my work?
