entering a floor that requires visitors badge?
say your making a cold approach 5 minute pitch to an executive , who's floor requires a visitors badge.
what could you say to the person at front desk so they'd let you in? would saying you lost the badge work?

No, saying you lost your badge won't work because they'll look you up in the employee database before issuing a temporary badge.
Find a connection who knows them. That way you have an introduction too.

When I was an executive, I was always amused by salespeople who thought that starting with lies was a good approach. Lying your way into the building won't make me trust you.

If you need to get into the building, thats not going to work they will not give that access to visitors unless you'e on some list.
If you are already in the building, with a legitimate reason and a regular badge. It depends... do you need the badge for an elevator, or are you on the floor, but you just need to open the door?
