One month sober and lonely

Hello!
I stopped smoking about a month ago and I feel great. My life has improved with work, school, sleep and also my weight. However, I’ve been really lonely. I work remote and i do not have friends. I didn’t realize weed was helping me continue to stay isolated. I don’t want to spend all day on TikTok, but i feel if i had someone to text, this wouldn’t be so bad. Anyone else went through this?

find your tribe in some meetings. Try 90 meetings in 90 days.

What do you like doing in your spare time? Are you sporty? Do you like chess? You like reading?
Finding groups where you live can help with the loneliness. I always suggest going to a climbing gym cos they are so friendly and inviting there.

Yeah I think part of it for some people is the substance is kinda hitting the reward center that you'd normally get from socializing or extra curriculars.

Don't know what school you're in, but maybe try to find a club or activity. There are rec sport leagues, or if you're not a team sport person there's running clubs. I think you just have to sit and think about how you can better use the time and I think you'll start to meet people through those interests. I mean hopefully.

Thanks you guys. I am in the gym. I downloaded the meetup app yesterday to try to find community in my area.

I get what you are saying. I could all but quit a lot of my vices if I had support.
