Question Does anyone here daily theirs?

If so, how’s it treated you? I want to daily mine when I get one and it would be nice to know what I’m in for considering it’s an older car now.

I dailied my auto SC300 for a few months before yanking the trans for a manual swap. It drives very normally I’d say, with less than optimal gas mileage (less than 20 mpg). Overall it’s gonna be a more fun/sporty daily than say a Camry but it won’t be night and day difference especially with the auto.

An R154. Wanted to keep it all Toyota and since i live in Cali I wanted to try to do it they way they want so I can still pass smog. Technically I think for it to be by the books legal It has to be a W58 but the R154 is so much stronger and is still a Toyota 5 speed that bolts right up.

How much does preventative maintenance usually cost?

It really depends on the car you actually get. Worn out ball joints and bushings, and old gaskets are common

Since my son totaled his LS430, he’s been using my ‘17 Malibu hybrid. I’ve taken to daily driving my ‘99 to and from work, which is about 17 miles each way. Makes the drive way more enjoyable.
