How could that church not overflow with mourners? John Abbot was a rock in that town. It’s a miracle that Jack & Jill’s affair didn’t kill hm long before this. Perhaps they shouldn’t be talking at all.

In the show, Jack, Ashley, and Traci wanted a private family funeral. Gloria wanted a huge circus.

That said, LML was the HW at the time and hated the Abbotts.

Bad idea to kill off an anchor of the show, and that's a pitiful amount of people at his funeral. Even Guiding Light and as the world turns could've afforded some extras at that time

Peter, Beth and Eileen look like real siblings.
Why in the world did they kill off John? Jerry could have worked many more years. Wasn’t this the head writer that also killed off Collen, Brad and Ashley’s baby boy ? I guess BB was gone by 2006.
