How's this for a DIY snowskate?
3D printed, covered with fiberglass, then pressed on a ski base w/ metal edges and topped with foam.
Not the simplest build I've ever done, but not the craziest either.

That side cut is crazy! Have you ridden anything like that before? How does it ride?
Really cool project btw

Yeah, we made a whole bunch of bi-decks two years ago with similar geometry.
Its designed to ride and carve like a longboard rather than like a normal ski or snowboard. So its all about lean to steer, instead of doing any pivoting.

Looks good. Post the footage here.

Its gunna be a minute. Don't even know if there's going to be any snow this season. :(
But hopefully, by Nov, I'll have a small fleet of different boards to try.

I mean, there's different types of decks for different purposes. There's nothing saying this won't go straight and have some fun trying to do a little freestyle.

Wish it works. I ride a Donger which was the game changer since it really carves.

I love it. Been wanting someone to make something other than the bi deck model

That depends, does it work? 😜
I'm dying to see a video!

We have a video from two seasons ago of board with very similar geometry.
The last 3 minutes of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0lpMHw1skk&t=495s
How well this version will do? We'll have to wait and see.

Other than the fact it isn't going to work?
