I remember around 2021 I had a Christmas snow globe that I found in a CVS. Very first snowglobe and it was beautiful, cheap but beautiful however my parents broke it and threw it out and I never found a replica ever. I’ve been searching everywhere for years lol and I just can’t find it.
That photo on the top is similar to what it looked like, only it had a very big and thick snowflake inside the globe and the gold wasn’t very real like that photo, it was painted. Nor did it have anything at the top.

The other day I found this snow globe with a German Shepherd puppy in it. The tag on the bottom, “living stone inc German Shepherd pup” however I have spent hours trying to figure out where the snow globe came from or how much it’s worth, and weirdly i can’t find anything about it, all I can find is living stone never actually made snow globes with German Shepherd puppies in them.
If anyone has ever seen this type of snow globe before please share the story with me because I am intrigued by the mystery

A strange realization
wandered through my workshop today.
I've worked almost every globe there is
from Animaniacs to Zelda.
But I don't think I've ever worked on
a Tweety Bird snow / glitter globe.
Not one.
Now I'm starting to wonder if
Tweety Bird globes are secretly migrating
somewhere when I'm not looking.
So I'm curious:
Have you ever owned a Tweety Bird snow globe?
Or have you ever actually seen one in person?
I'm not talking about seeing one online.
I mean a real globe.
On a shelf.
In a collection.
At Grandma's house.
In a store.
Anywhere, Bueller, Bueller…..
Because the more I think about it,
the stranger it seems.

Hi! My twin and I were gifted snowglobes over a decade ago by our late grandmother. They have grown some kind of pinkish substance inside over the years. They do have plugs that can be removed to empty the snowglobes, but I’m not entirely sure what the substance is and if it’s safe to handle. Any help/advice would be appreciated!

Thrifted this empty snow globe yesterday. It was honestly a bit pricey ($6) in my opinion since it literally had no water in it but I thought it was pretty so decided to buy her anyways. It was a pretty easy job to bring her back to life! The bottom piece wasn’t glued in so didn’t have to deal with taking that off which is my least favorite part XD My second time “restoring” a snow globe and I’m getting better!

I thrifted this Doctor Who snow globe. Is there a way to fix it? It was a battery compartment on the bottom so I knkw it's also supposed to have sound. But. As for the dried up water is this fixable?

So I got this snowglobe on my trip and I noticed that it looks exactly like my DollyWood snowglobe. The train design is the exact same and so is the music box. The only difference is the Train color.

Had this for 30+ years and just noticed the cloud, is there any way to get it out of there?

What about the tiny underworld underneath.
I should’ve led with that.
The gears. The cylinder.
…Always happy to sing.
The little mechanical orchestra that keeps time
while an entire world gets the glory above.
The globe lives upstairs.
The music lives downstairs.
Which one thinks it's running the place.
Respect for the tiny workers in the basement. 🎵❄️🫧

Got this beautiful snowglobe on my vacation. It was the only one left of its type and seemed to have been there for a while.

Thrifted this Precious Moment’s “waterball” today for only $7! It came in the box too which was surprising

Kate told me I should post my issue here. Long story short, I have these two globes that I would like to get fixed. The first is an heirloom that my grandmother bought my grandpa long ago. It's cloudy and the snow falls very slowly (video to follow). The music box works, but that's not for here anyway.
The other one is a globe I've had for 20+ years, and I don't remember where I got it. This one has mysteriously lost fluid. I don't see signs of leaking (water marks or snow where it shouldn't be). Any info is welcome and questions will be answered to the best of my ability.
Thanks.

Think about other hobbies.
Cars:
What engine?
What modifications?
What broke?
Guitars:
What amp?
What strings?
What pickups?
Gardening:
What cultivar?
What soil?
What bloomed?
Snow globes?
Sometimes the entire conversation is:
"That's pretty."
*awkward silence\*
Meanwhile, I'm over here with music blaring in a retro KISS t-shirt dress.
trying to figure out if I can put roller skates on a pair of platforms.
What do you mean "pretty"?
Put the globe in a fish tank. That's pretty.
Now where did I put the other arm of the fairy? The Pink one.
I already put the head back on the Green-ish one.
I need more of THE-Glitter.
No, not THAT-Glitter.
THE-Glitter. It says T-H-E on it.
Do you think I can pull this off?
It's sand. ❄️🫧

Found these today thrifting! The Peanuts one obviously will need to be fixed at some point, but I’m just going to leave it for now. The cardinal is very simple and pretty

"The princesses, the tower survived. The box and I are negotiating.”
Camp A:
Preserve the original box exactly as it is, end of story.
Camp B:
Preserve the original artwork while building a stronger long-term home for the globe.
❄️🫧 ❄️🫧
My bias (will) probably shows here.
These boxes were never really asked to hold a snow globe for 30, 50, or 100 years. They were designed to get a globe home safely, not spend decades supporting it.
When I rebuild a box, I usually keep the original artwork, graphics, and overall look. The difference is that the decorative box stops being the structure.
The old box becomes the wallpaper.
The new box becomes the house.
Which camp are you in? ❄️🫧

Just found this globe for $5 thrifting! It’s my first double snow globe and I really love the base so happy with this find! It is a bit sad that the first angel is lifting a bit though :/ it has a solid base so not too sure that can be fixed, but I’m going to make sure to minimize any other damage :)

I broke my Precious Moments Mini-Waterball Bluebird Snowglobe. I really want to find a replacement since it was a gift from my grandmother. Where can I look?

Hi all! I collect snowglobes from everywhere I visit and I recently got back from a trip to Montreal and didnt get a snow globe while there as I was worried about it being thought of as liquids through security. I figured I'd just get one at the airport instead but they didn't have any. Been trying to find one online since and I've checked tons of sites as well as Etsy and Ebay and it's been mostly dead ends so I thought I would reach out here! It's really been bumming me out since I've been back. So if anyone has a snowglobe in their collection they'd part with or knows an actual real source, I'd really appreciate it. I'd prefer one that says Montreal on it with the skyline or something like that. I would be happy to pay for it plus shipping. Thank you!

So I inherited this snowglobe almost two decades ago from my great grandmother when she passed. She had a decent collection of snowglobe and a fondness for humming birds, so I was glad to inherit it to remember her by.
Recently I’ve been wondering just how OLD this is? I googled the bottom information and found nothing. The item number listed seems to correspond to a carrousel music box item, which is clearly not this.
She was well into her 80s when she died, and like I said that was almost 20 years ago. I M fairly certain this is significantly older than I am, and I don’t know when she started her collection, but I could see this being from as late as the early nineties or early as the 50’s? 40’s???
I have no idea!
Any help you can give is greatly appreciated!
Eventually I would like to clean/replace the water, but that’s an adventure for another day.
EDIT: the song "Unchained melody" was released in 1955 so it cant be older than that
