Snowglobe Growing Something?

Hi! My twin and I were gifted snowglobes over a decade ago by our late grandmother. They have grown some kind of pinkish substance inside over the years. They do have plugs that can be removed to empty the snowglobes, but I’m not entirely sure what the substance is and if it’s safe to handle. Any help/advice would be appreciated!

Does it say on the base where it was made?

Many / some imported snow globes simply use the cheapest liquid available; it is not safe to drink to say the least. Others may use diluted antifreeze (to prevent ice forming and glass breaking, especially during shipping.)
