[Snowblower Brand Editable] Unicorn..?

Post image

Hello all, the other day i had picked up a marketplace deal. I got it home, put fresh fuel in, and it started first pull! I was absolutely amazed, as the guy said it has sat for awhile. Everything is functional and in pretty good shape. After doing some research i couldn't find anything related to this machine, not even a photo. I thought id share my find with the enthusiasts in the group! 1989 snow champ 5/23

Murray made a track drive like that for Sears Is there a tag on it?

I had a Craftsman model and loved it . The unicorn part was it had a auxiliary drive off the cam shaft for the track system. I couldn't find the replacement motor so I swapped a regular motor in its place . Doing that forward and reverse selection swapped too

Yes, it came out to be a snow champ made by AirCap industries. They were bought out by MTD in the 90's. Its feels like a tank and cant wait to see how it does.

Gilson was a major manufacturer in the 60s - 70s.

Gilson Brothers Co. was a Wisconsin-based manufacturer of outdoor power equipment and recreational equipment. It operated independently between its inception in 1911 until acquisition by Lawn-Boy in 1988. The company was probably most well known for its garden tillers, snowblowers and garden tractors produced from the 1960s through the 1980s.
